    Good to see you and frank together again! Yeah I've been following frank closely on this mod because I'm thinking about doing it. I'm still concerned about rubbing with the new wheels though. Whether you push them out with wheel spacers or push them out with a different offset, the tire diameter is still the same, and I think they're going to rub. The only ways to stop the rub would be to raise the car, use a smaller diameter wheels/tire combo, or cutout the fender. And my car is lowered, so at a minimum I'd have to go back to stock ride height unless I wanted to cut out the fender.

    • @RTLife
      @RTLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right there with you. I would end up going back to a stock ride height to make it work. This makes the stock wheel gap look much smaller though.

    So technically these are fender flares and not widebodys. The wide body cars have the inner structure cut out along the bottom edge to create more room and the fender and quarter panels are also cut with a flange coming off so it is making the flare have a true base to mount to.

    If the stock fender is not cut, then any rim designed for the real wide body models will hit the stock narrow fenders. The stock narrow fenders will not allow the wider rims to travel enough when going over larger dips.
    If you want the wider look, then do it right and modify the stock fenders. Anything short of this is asking for trouble.

      Once he gets the new rims I will see how it does. If any rubbing is happening

    I ordered this kit for my 2014 R/T, there is an option to order side skirts that go with it. It works on the 11-14 just needs some slight modifications

    Yeah it's a good way to get one on the cheap, but it doesn't look like the quality is that great and would spend the money on the OEM one when they come out. Not sure when that will be, but Mopar says they are coming soon and call them the appearance package. They're a little over 3K, but there's nothing like the stock ones and can be confident that fit n finish will be spot on..This is the link, if anyone wants to check into it..www.allmoparparts.com/sku/srtdemonpkg.html
