    Great vlog, always good to have an idea of costs, not always talked about. I know everyone will have different budgets but it gives a good middle ball-park figure

    Awesome video guys nice to see someone talking about the funds side of van life as no one seems to talk about that 👍 I'd cancel that pet insurance though as they always try and get out of paying I don't pay for any insurance that I don't have to have buy law just put £20 a month in a separate account next should definitely be a lt35 gang camp out in the woods 😜 🤙

    Ahhh, yes just insured for the first time on my 95% complete camper. Went with Adrian flux as well and got all the breakdown cover and the 6 month European insurance. Seems very good.

      Haha same here but I'm getting closer. And I want a proper RV with shower and everything and for me it would be early retirement and not having to worry about money or working.
      So my goal is in 3 to 7 years when i'm 55 I sell the house and everything I have, buy a nice RV, not too big but with all creature comforts and start driving around Europe.
      Need about 150k to do that comfortably, so i have to be patient.
      House prices and stocks need to go up with an average of 3% each year and I'm golden in 5 years. :)
      And till then I have to save up as much money as possible to get a proper RV need around 35k here to get a decent one.

    Hi guys, thanks for the video. Really helpful! I have one quick question, do you normally pay for parking overnight? Or pay for parking in general? Or do you tend to find free parking?

    • @billyandleanne
      @billyandleanne  ปีที่แล้ว

      some spots require parking but usually we stick to free parking spots ❤️🙌

    After buying the van and setting it up, is there a yearly tax you have to pay on it ?

    • @billyandleanne
      @billyandleanne  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you have a vanlife ….. DO NOT go with the AA, they picked our vehicle up, put it on a truck to go home (2hrs) but then abandoned it half-hour up the road, at the side of the road. Then left it for two days, each time telling us it was being picked up in an hour or two, went on for 45 hours and the vehicle got smashed into, left somewhere we would never had left it. We got AA cover so a broken down vehicle was NOT left on a road. Now won’t take any responsibility for their negligence and liability. Beyond stressful and left us totally abandoned!!!

      @billyandleanne  ปีที่แล้ว

      Bloody hell! So sorry to hear that mate, we learned the hard way with AA last week! Our new video premiering tonight covers it. Hope you got some compensation for the experience they gave you! That’s terrible. We can only imagine how stressful that was! 😢

    A good complimentary video would be "how we make money living on the road" or something like that? I follow you guys on Instagram too so know a little bit about what you do, but being inherently nosy would be great to find out some more! I'm also just starting out buying and selling vintage homeware so I'm interested to know Leanne how you do it? Take care x
