They tend to last forever too.. the one or two reviews you’ll find where the sole delaminated are outliers and that happens in any manufacturing.. more of a QC issue than quality itself. The Universal Trail is such a nice sandal.. I’d prefer them on any hike that’s low-medium difficulty. They only lack in ankle support. I always just buy the original universals. And I’ve only ever had to buy cause I lost them.. never had a pair wear out.
I bought a pair of $20 hiking sandals from Burlington for my dog walking business which I am selling before the sandals wore down. So I’m glad to know I can still use the sandals 😂
Lovely vid! You said to say if there's a sandal you love or hate...well I'm going to call out Xero Z-Trails as downright dangerous. In water the footbed gets very slippery and I have narrow feet - my foot was sliding about all over the place inside the sandal. Okay if you have very wide feet, but avoid if not!
Dayum there's sth wrong w/ YT algorithm today - this review does not even mention the product I was looking for, but wait! This is hands down the funiest review of sandals I have seen to date :D I'm glad I clicked. Great job!
What a great video! Thanks for the advice and you helped me make my decision on what kind of ADVENTURE sandals I will buy!! Love your energy! Not sure why, but this video made me smile!
Oh gosh chaco sandals were so insanely uncomfortable to me. I tried breaking them in and they just never felt good. Too narrow of a foot bed and I hate that ridge design on the foot bed of the sandal. The ridges rubbed on the bottoms of my feet making my soles feel raw. They just were not for me :(
I've tried regular chacos on before and that texture of the insoles irritated me as well. So I got the chaco z clouds and they don't cause that issue for me. They are also a little more cushiony. Love them but sometimes the arch is just too aggressive for me.
Thanks for the video. The videography is well done and the review of the sandels is great and engaging. You may want to consider shortening the preamble before actually digging into the review this has the potential to make the content that viewers are looking for more accessible and lead to less viewers to skipping this review in the first 2mins. Appreciate the review and I’m going for the Bedrocks 🤙
I have all of these and the bedrocks are my personal favorite. I have had them for 6 months now and feel more secure on my feet then any of the other strapping styles. I wish I would of had these before buying all the others.
I was a die hard Chaco fan since the 90s but Bedrock converted me. For a fraction of the weight and bulk, barefoot feel, and super traction with vibrant soles, I end up living in these for nearly all my Colorado summer adventures!
@@moon-dog the traction is so amazing. I love mine when I go fishing 🎣 off the shore on slippery rocks. I have seen many people slip and fall. Lucky I have bedrocks that grab onto everything.
Also I'm not a Hiker. I can't imagine hiking in sandals? I know so many do it but I dunno lol. I get it though..it's hot and you don't want that. But I also wouldn't want to hike in the heat. Not making fun at all...I just am lazy I guess.
I loved your video. I actually had fun watching you. I was just looking for some sandals to hike in but watching your video, I suddenly became very interested in Sandals. Very informative. lmbo about the dad sandals and the fanny pack. so funny. Thanks, my favorite was #1. going to buy those now. Thanks for sharing
The bedrock ones are flat with absolutely no support for any serious hiking. I think they are more for those that aren't used to using their toes to keep a flip flop in place to be honest.
😅 I grew up in Ohio, have lived in Florida, Austin, Arkansas and Utah, worked in Massachusetts, and have traveled all over the country and the world, often for long stretches of time, so if it’s hard to pinpoint the accent, now you know why. 😅🤣

Team Teva! I just got a pair and I don't know how long they'll last..but wow. Talk about comfortable. I need to throw. my cheap flip flops out!
I got the Teva trail sandals and I am obsessed! I have yet to take them on a proper hike, but they're great for everyday wear.
I reach for my Tevas over all my others

So glad we made you smile! That’s the greatest compliment! We do try to keep it upbeat and maybe a bit snarky here at Terradrift!
I’m a middle aged dad with flat feet who wears custom orthotics. I find Chacos work best for my feet .
They just were not for me :(
They are definitely not for everyone. Josh prefers his Tevas for most things because of the super squishy foot bed.

Thanks for the feedback! Let us know what you think of the Bedrocks!
I am waiting for Gold pigeon 5931, they are lighter than chacos, pretty good reviews from hiking experts
Looks just like a Teva!
I like the way you talk! So cool and fun.

Nice! Those are the only ones we haven't owned personally, so we'll have to check them out! Do a little comparison ourselves!
I was a die hard Chaco fan since the 90s but Bedrock converted me. For a fraction of the weight and bulk, barefoot feel, and super traction with vibrant soles, I end up living in these for nearly all my Colorado summer adventures!
The weight and bulk of Chacos is what keeps us from taking them with us on a lot of trips.

Could you do a review (or just give them a try) on the OluKai Upena Women's Sandal or just the brand in general?
The bedrock ones are flat with absolutely no support for any serious hiking. I think they are more for those that aren't used to using their toes to keep a flip flop in place to be honest.
4:38 as the SO of a trail runner… they know lol
How do you feel about the hedgehog III from the north face? I plan on taking them to Zion.
We haven't tested them ourselves but they look like they have some nice tread on them!
Is this northern california accent? Oregon? Just curious😅

Would you say Chaco’s are good for swimming too?
They're great for water. A bit heavy to swim in.
Luna and Bedrock. There are no other sandals. :) (
your awesome lol great simple review
Glad you liked it!
Can you advice me what best for trekking? I can afford only one pair of shoes
Chacos are going to hold up the best as long as you like how they fit!
@@Terradrift Thank you. Do you think it's more comfortable than Luna sandals?
Why not the Teva Tirra?
We'll definitely have to try a pair!
@@Terradrift thanks! I saw these as popular options amongst the ones you mentioned. I was hoping there weren't any secret downsides to them?
These are incredibly comfortable and have great adjustability. They are not light, however.
I love it
Thanks!
Nice video!

The best way to destroy your feet, wear sandals while hiking in unimproved areas.
Are you a hiker? If you are, you'd know your body mechanics and know that hiking in supportive sandals that fit for you does not destroy your feet.
@@anayathegoddess3251 The only time I've been cut up hiking is when I was wearing sandals.
@@anayathegoddess3251 By the way, why are you responding to a year old post.
@Satguy bc I can. Period! It's a great video
