    I've got three kinds of Bedrocks now, 2 1/2 years in.... fuggin love these things. Weird kind of dont-anyone-touch-my-fuggin-sandals sort of love. I was super worried about the toe-post at first as well, but after some adjustments that totally went away. Love. LOVE these damn things. But to be fair, my Bedrocks DO sometimes sleep in my bed. True story.

    Couldn't agree more! These are totally the best sandals ever.I use them for biking, hiking, kayaking, and everything else. Thank you for the great review!

    Yep. All so very true. I’ll just say: spend the extra $10 and get the pro if you ever intend to be near wet, or even dampish rock. The standard Cairn will outlast the pro because of its harder compound, and are great for dry conditions or an urban set up, but out there on the rocks you want the grip. It’s a health and safety thing, like not busting your leg or hip or arm. That kinda stuff gets real expensive! And hurts!

    Did you happen to wear them in water? I love my Xero Z Trails but my feet slide around inside them when they get wet. Are the Cairn Pro II’s more secure on the foot when wet? To be clear I’m asking about the footbed itself being slippery, not the outsole’s grip on the ground. Thanks!

    Hi it looks like you have a little extra room in front of your toes and behind your heal... My new bedrocks fit like that too but I'm thinking of swapping for a snugger fit. How did you like that fit? Thanks

      I chose this size because when hiking I like a little extra toe protection. As far as comfort goes I found both sizes about the same!

    On a steep trail,and on big sideways sloped rocks,I thought they moved around too much,and they hurt,on a steep downhill from the thong between the toes- ok everywhere else.-until a few days later,when the damn buckle won’t stay tight .that’s my 2 cents.- and ,if your a half size - size up,not down.great customer service.- just my opinion,.of course ! Updated ,edited- after throwing away my new sandals,I ordered Teva trail- haven’t tested them yet.this is a influential video and helped me choose the 3d first- a hundred and 40 bucks. !

    How fast does it take for them to dry and how well do they deal with foot odor?
    I live in tropical south east Asia and Tevas takes 2 days to dry up in the humidity here when in the jungle. Plus I have sweaty feet. So humidity + the feet really doesn't work for tevas here all too much.
    Thanks for making this review!

    Let’s not kid ourselves with the resole program. It’s cool that I only have to pay $55 for a new sole rather than building a new sandal at $100 plus, but that’s a big chunk of rubber. Are they recycling it? Recycling rubber is not as eco-friendly as people might think.

    Alisha, I have a QQ: I have narrow feet and have been recommended Cairns because of this...however I see the heel posts are fixed and I'm told by Bedrock 8cms apart. Do you find lateral movement with your heel in these while trail walking?

    • @Terradrift
      @Terradrift  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, JN! Happy to help! I also have narrow feet! And while there is maybe a little side-to-side heel movement, it’s not too bad. Mostly because the heel strap is adjustable, So you can make it pretty snug. Fun fact: we have an updated sandal review coming soon with a few new models, so keep an eye out for that, too! 😉

      @moniqrupley6019 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is the back strap flexible and comfortable enough to step on and wear these as flip flops?

    • @Terradrift
      @Terradrift  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s flexible, I use it as a flip flop occasionally just to run outside, but not for a lot of walking around.

    • @Terradrift

      Dust them with some baking soda and spray with a little water. Salt kills the bacteria which causes the smell
