Why 21mm.?

Because the width of the bar is 50mm so taking the tangent angle of that width, gives you 21mm
equation: 50mm * tan (22.5 degree) = 20.7mm approximately 21mm. Two 22.5 degree cuts give you 45 degree per triangle, double that you get a 90 degree bend
