    This is wonderful and I do love the concept. There is a place for these, but at 1740 watts usage and a backup rated at 3840 Watt hrs, your evening is over in about two hours and now it's time to recharge and if you have no power and no sun that's a problem. Having one of these along with a gas powered inverter generator for emergencies might be the best approach, if whole house is not an option.

    The voltage limit on the solar input makes this product not good for many people. It is very hard to find solar panels that will work with this product and get a decent amount of solar power into it. If you are not telling people about this then you are hurting many potential buyers

      @srt4cuz what company did you use to install your anchor battery backup system? I am in San Bernardino and I am interested if it’s a local company or how you did it.

      Thank you for replying. I don’t have a set up yet. Looking for an estimate and to see if it can work with my existing solar. Any way to get a point of contact? Thank you.

    I've owned an F3800 for about 6 months and use it as a backup power source for the entire house. However, I turn off the AC, dryer, microwave, stove, and oven breakers so claiming it'll power the entire house is a tad misleading. I get about 2-3 hours of use running some lights and a TV but most importantly, 2 refrigerators and 2 freezers. Unfortunately, the app does not track power consumption. Ideally, I would be able to analyze the power consumption to ID spikes. Would love to add a battery bank to increase my backup time but spending $2k after dropping $3k on the F3800 is too much at the moment. Perhaps I should have made a promotional TH-cam video in order the get the stuff for free.

    Good video, the Anker F3800 system is decent. I have two F3800's and 6 BP3800 expansion batteries, so I am speaking from experience. Unfortunately I would not buy again because but they essentially have no customer service. And when they do firmware upgrades, they don't know the changes in specs. Each call or chat takes hours and each response it automatic and says they will reply in 2 days... even for the most basic questions. So unless you're a solar expert, don't count on ANKER for any help unless you have a ton of patience.

    How would you know if all the houses near you are out of power on automatic? I like the power backup but I would want to be aware of any burglars wandering around.

    So I know back up batteries/solar generators are able to run things and charge at the same tittyme. I have a snake enclosure that I'd like to run from a battery like this, and just keep plugged into the wall 24/7 so if the power goes out, it will just continue to run. I know that it's possible but will that eventually ruin the quality of the battery or is that something that these things can handle no problem?

    wow you are getting robbed on electricity. I live east of Cleveland Ohio, and I pay 0.11$ KWH. I called the electric company to asked about peak and off-peak pricing and they confirmed that they do not do that. We've been having horrible storms this year, most tornados in the USA so far. Something like this or the Eco flow whole home are looking to be necessary soon

    This is the first video of yours I'm seeing, and great video, very informative, but one thing that really makes this feel like a high production ad, is the lifeless audio. I can hear your voice clearly but I can also tell its been run through an enhancer. When I say there is no life, I cant hear birds, wind (You're outside), any other sounds than your voice and I can hear the interpolation made by the ai enhancer. its a lovely tool but just dial it back a bit. would make your feel like it was actually made by humans

    in all these reviews. no one ever says how long these batteries will even last running basic appliances and lights in the house. when i see reviews on the earth roamer rv and they say those things can last over a week on just solar charging the batteries. yes thats a million dolla motor home but why cant anyone just say that in their reviews on these batteries. how many days in basic lights and appliances will this thing last before you need to recharge it.

      That's because it varies in every situation, depending on the loads every individual, not just on usage but on solar regeneration production. But the capacity information is always at the forefront for everybody to know to use and calculate for themselves for their personal situations.

    The high frequency inverter tech that's used in these cheap units are only rated at a 2X surge capacity which is not enough to power all of the appliances in an average home and because it doesn't even have an isolation transformer it has the potential to fry the AC appliances in your home during a catastrophic failure of its H-Bridge circuit. No thanks, not in my home.

    • @Darktidejg31
      @Darktidejg31 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They did it to sell their own panels that work with this. It's also now after firmware update 27A instead of 25A. Difficult but not impossible to find panels that work. Easy to get 2000 or 2100 watts instead of the 2400 with most panels I have looked up. This is great for a mobile unit but for a handy DIY person you can get a lot more for cheaper (all in down the road cost) and more upgradable options.

    What a joke. Like 3.5 kilowatt hours. Your home uses like 20 kilowatt hours per day, and lots more if you have things like electric heat. This expensive POS will be dead in 3 or 4 hours and then you are screwed and out thousands of dollars
