Roboute Guilliman is so angry he doesn't need a helmet to breathe when on a rampage at the Word Bearers in space.
The void shields from all the ships also held in a finite amount of oxygen giving him just barely enough oxygen to still function.

My favourite from those events will always be the Original Red Helm. The marine who theorized on fighting other space marines which earned him the red helm a mark of shame. The angry boi that came back to Calth just to hunt Word Bearers. Then he went around Ultramar with his Red Helm brothers hunting Word Bearers cosplaying as Ultramarines. Single handedly turning the mark of shame into a mark of honor.

The Mark of Calth is one of the best early books. I liked how he ordered his marines to just engage the cultists with hand to hand and keep bolt rounds for the traitors

Should have brought up the ultramarine sergeant who was censured by Guilliman for teaching astartes on how to fight other legions and then was proven right so hard that all ultramarine sergeants paint their helmets red in his honor.

“What the FUCK is going on?!”
“Okay, calm down, let’s figure this out…”
And then upon figuring it out shouting “I’LL KILL THEM ALL!”

I was not expecting him to come back as a LOTD, but that just makes him even more epic that he saved one of the greatest of his company to come after him that day

Know no Fear is still my favourite Heresy novel. It has so many moments that sum up just how ridiculously sized everything in 30k was. Capital ships falling from Orbit. Main battle tanks falling from the sky. Chaos demons spawning in everywhere. And basically everything getting fucked hard. Love it.
Know no fear is the best heresy book by far
I will always say this: I will accept the hate towards the ultramarines chapter, but you at the very least have to give Guilliman and the legion credit. They really are my favorite from the heresy and reading Know No Fear is what inspired me to start an Ultramarines army. I am definitely making sure to put all of the cool characters in my collection some day like Aeonid Thiel (who you should make a vid about), the tetrarchs, and Telemechrus.
Aeonid Thiel is one of the reasons I like the Ultra Marines, they aren't my favorite but I try not to spread hate especially when the first red helmet comes from the Ultra's
nah, i hate them, and they don't deserve more credit than other chapters at all
saving the galaxy, saving nonother than the blood angels, saving the fucking custodians, were for some time the only chapter with primach, half of the total space marine chapters are ultramarines, more
there is inflation of feats which makes them appear sketchy and renders it worthless
@@FranciscoPizarro489 that is why I said I understand the hate towards the chapter, but at least give the legion and Primarch some credit. Guilliman has some plot armor but he and the legion both go through hell and back like any other of the legions or modern day chapters to win the Heresy

The original uriel ventris trilogy was my first hit off 40k addiction. Ventris is in my top 3 characters, i loved that he found the tomb. Nice touch.

I think one of the biggest strengths of the imperium is the amount of people it has and not only because quantity has a quality of its own but also with that amount of people it's basically guaranteed that there will be a lot of exceptional people as well and from those exceptional people there'll be even more exceptional people and so on which allows the imperium to produce these legendary heroes that can do seemingly impossible things.

My favorite part of Know No Fear:

And the Word Bearer's get wrecked.
Guilliman is the most human primarch, he wanted his sons to have other things to excel on other than fighting, and he succeeded mostly.

Even Uriel, in the first Uriel ventress book ended up thinking, "How the hell did I survive lol" as he watched two greater demons fight.

@@velstadtvonausterlitz2338nah he got exiled for breaching the Codex Astartes by taking control of a Deathwatch company, boarding a Tyranid hiveship with them, and killing it. Literally saved a world, but he left his Ultras to do so, and I guess that was a breach worthy of exile
I'd also add the novels " The Unburdened" and "The Honoured," which tell the same story, from the Word Bearer and Ultramarines side, respectively. It takes place during the attack on Calth as well.
Remus Ventanus is the reason why I put as many banners into every SM army as I possibly can. Having been separated from his weapons by the suddenness of the Word Bearer ambush, he killed more people with a nearby flagpole than he did a bolter or sword, and I loved it.
Know no Fear is my favorite book of the HH saga (siege of Terra not counting) and it has reinforced my love for Ultramarines (because I like the paint scheme). Perfect combination of horrified shock of betrayal and bloody determination to survive is just perfect blend in this book! And also first time I have realized that Chaos would have no chance without cheating 😄

Wasn't Aeonid Thiel the guy that became Gulliman's advisor and help him penned the codex. He was elevated to command the 2nd company.
He and Remus both.
@theredditexperience1 personally , I believe that Remus was originally the guy chosen by GW to be Gulliman's advisor on the codex but for some reason or other, GW pivoted to Thiel. We had numerous excerpt from novels as well as short stories regarding Thiels contributions, while only a single short-story about Remus's and even then , that short story has now been reconn with Remus being stuck in calth during the entire heresy. The only other time that story would make sense would be during the scouring but the entire context of the story would have to be rewritten .
Malum Caedo from #Bolgun videogame by Auroch Digital. On chapter 1 he single handed banished a Lord of Change amongst hordes of Tzeentch daemons . Also he fights the Great UNCLEan one from Papa Nurgle
Fun fact: Remus originally was on the Ultramarines flagship, awaiting his punishment for creating theories on how to kill other Space Marines(no one knew about Heresy yet) Awaiting on Guilliman in his chamber, he started to play with weapons which their Primarch kept as a trophies, becasue well, at least he could get some fun. When Word Bearers betrayed, Remus took whoever he could found and armed them with private colettions of Guiliman, and reaction of Chapter Master on this sight was quiet hillarious
