Lived here in OC and have never seen the Pageant. Avoided the congestion of people at all cost. Had family visit from out of State and while looking for something ‘different’ to do... well this is Different!!! AMAZING, FABULOUS, jAW DROPPING! So great that my sister and I are going back again this year and bringing someone who has never had the opportunity to see something this unique:) share the Joy of Living Art , bring a friend!!!
I saw this back in 1990, and the narrator was none other than the original voice of 'Tony the Tiger', Thurl Ravenscroft 🐯. Hearing his voice behind this epic show added to the wonder of it all. Still remember it vividly to this day!
Combining Living History and amazing Living Art! Wish I was in CA to enjoy this beautiful, interesting Pageant of Masters! An awesome video that allows a small window into their fascinating story and display!
It is one of those things that can not be done justice by a video or a photograph - it needs to be seen to be believed - really quite special and magical - take along a good pair of binoculars and try to spot any movement
The old announcer and the crickets in an outdoor theatre just makes you feel like youre in art history museum world, when youre there live you feel like youre on an episode of Caliornias Good
Heard about this for the first time from Episode 333 of The Way I Heard It with Mike Rowe podcast 💗 sounds amazing! Had never heard of this before - would love to see it in person one day
I kid you not, my 5 year old Nephew was enthralled with the show, and about half way through the first act looked over at us and said "This is pretty good, but it's the weirdest movie I've ever seen".
That's what I was thinking, but it's in OC, so I'm going. We try not to spend money or go to anything happening in LA, the woke has taken over. OC is more conservative and appreciate your presence and patronage.
Hate to break it to ya… Laguna Beach is a commie-artist community. Always has been. That’s how they came up with creative stuff like this during the Great Depression to attract folks to come and spend a little money on their art. And that spirit continues today with the Sawdust Festival before this Pageant of the Masters. No woke-artists, no art, no reason to go to OC aside from your cubicle.

I used to live in Southern California and this was a highly anticipated event we never missed!

Again, this year will be spent at Pageant - celebrating my 78th birthday! Love being here and hope all will attend ASAP.
i saw this as a child in the 90s and feel so lucky...that outdoor theatre vibe is so legit
Truly a must see!! Loved every minute of it.
I saw the pageant over 35 years ago and was truly amazed by it.

lucky to see this as a child
Who else saw that girls hand move
A google user Duh.
I was a cast member 86-89😊
They take a painting and turn it into a live action show, nice.
Dine Thanks for explaining the obvious.
I have never been so underwhelmed at a live show of any sort.
Amazing!
How is the dog also Real?
They stuffed the dog, silly.
Don't take young children, they'll be bored and won't appreciate it.

You're right - you should stay there in Alabama.
