@@user-zk4oe7mc8n I agree to a point. He can leave in a sense that He will leave your body, the temple of the Holy Spirit, when you allow sexual sin to creep back into your life. That was my experience. But, not in the sense that He left you for good and that you have lost your salvation as a result. Once you're born again and have received the Holy Spirit, He will never leave you or forsake you. From my experience, when I allowed sexual sin to creep back into my life, the Holy Spirit left my body, but He continued to stay by my side, continually convicting me and encouraging me to repent and to not be unequally yolked together with non believers. The Holy Spirit cannot reside within a filthy and sinful heart. Until you genuinely repent of your sins, He cannot reside in your heart, even after you're saved. That's why it's crucial to live a life of repentance and holiness in order to do the will of God and to feel His presence within you. It's amazing though that even though you may have let sin to creep back into your heart and life, that He continues to stay with you and by your side. So, even though He isn't living within your heart, doesn't mean you lost your salvation. It may just mean that you're in sin and that you need to repent and draw closer to the Lord so that He can cleanse you of ALL unrighteousness and reside within your heart again. Important side note; repentance doesn't just mean confess your sins and then you try harder not to commit those sins again. It means to turn away from those sins. Literally remove yourself from toxic and sinful environments and then draw closer to the Lord by prayer and reading the Bible and getting yourself into an environment where the people are like minded in loving God with all their hearts, minds, and souls. ❤
