Yeah!!! You're back!!! 🎉 I can't wait to see the house you're going to build! I hope you decide to share a lot of the build with us, I enjoy seeing the process of building. You can see so much of a person's personality in watching them do what they do, and you get a sense of how that person's thought process works. I learn so much watching other miniature creators, not just the "how" something goes together but sometimes the "why" as well. I'm so excited to see what's coming!!
Thank you so much Kelly! I will definitely be sharing quite a bit of the building as well. Not quite as detailed as the Homestead house, but I definitely agree that knowing the ‘why’ is so important to the process! Stay tuned for more of the build as it unfolds!❤️🏠
Nice desk Penny, I like how you attach the😂 drawer fronts, it gives you more control of how they fit. Using brads for knobs is also great idea and a lot cheaper. than buying special dollhouse hardware. Wondering how thick the wood for the body of the desk was, it looks about 2mm. Hope you had a good break and gained lots of inspiration for your dream house……miniature of course😉
Hi Coby! I had always ended up with crooked fronts, but doing it that way has always worked for me. The wood for the main structure is 3/32” (or 2.5mm) thick. Thank you for always taking the time to comment! 💚
Hi Bonita, they are called 1-2-3 Blocks. They are 1” x 2” x 3” and are perfectly square. They come in a package of 2 and while I get mine from Amazon, I believe most hardware or home builder stores (ie Home Depot) also carry them. I’ve seen them as low as $23 and as high as $40 CND on Amazon so its worth scrolling thru your search results to find the cheapest deal. They come very oily (I guess so they don’t rust?) so you will need to rub them down with some paper towel before you use them. I hope that helps!
