    This is BY FAR the most helpful review of this product I have heard. I spent a lot of time trying to find more information about the ANC function, and there was just not much out there. You answered all my questions and more about these buds. Absolutely fantastic review.

    Great review and thanks for sharing. These are by far the best wireless earbuds I have used to date! 3wks in after purchasing from Amazon for $199 (tried the original, then returned them the next day for the 3ANC. Definitely worth the investment). Thx!!

    I share your sentiments about the convenience of having TWS when out and about, the tech is fantastic now. But I don’t use noise canceling because of the vacuum effect just like you said.
    When I’m at home and not doing chores though, wired, over ears are my jam

    Nice review. I own a number of True Wireless Earphones, but I have to say, my Between Pro 3ANC is the best I've listened to. Much better than my Jabra Elite or my Sennheiser Momentum TW3. They're super comfortable, sound fantastic and last forever.

      Between Pro is a separate model that currently goes for $169. It looks like everything is the same, just no ANC. It seems to be a great alternative if one doesn't need ANC.

    • @x7nick7x48

      Is there so much difference compared to Momentum?

    • @Rodghost1
      @Rodghost1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@x7nick7x48 To me there is and I think the Momentum are excellent. But the 3ANC has a wider soundstage, significantly better base, better vocals and is just exciting to listen to. The three drivers in each earbud makes a significant difference.

    Got these during Black Friday promo for $150 or so I think. Yeah I use these all the time. Sound nice and not fatiguing. Got them because they stay charged longer than the apple airpod pros I have. Good on long Intl flights.

    there are adapters like fiio utws5 that can be used albeit lacking ANC. i use them on planes and depending on the iem you can get enough seal but nothing can beat raw ANC done well like that of sony, bose and apple if you’re a travel nerd

    I own a pair of the Status Between 3ANC's and I love them! My only issue is they're not loud enough when listening to either mp3 or FLAC music. I believe part of the reason behind that is because I use an iPhone. Apple controls the maximum volume output on its iPhones which is limiting. Although I cannot be certain, if I owned an Android, this problem wouldn't exist.

    • @TheKingdavis09
      @TheKingdavis09 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can turn off that volume limiting setting in your iPhone

    • @SamanthaMunitz

    I was also skeptical about TWEs for a long time because of how awful the Sonys and the Boses sound. But the moment I put Shure Aonic 215 TWE (gen 1) in my ears, my doubts evaporated! It was a phenomenal experience to have a TWE that sounded that good! Now I use it frequently along with my wired earphones. Though I am not a fan of ANC in TWEs, I prefer them to their wired counterparts when I’m out and about.

      Unfortunately, Sony is no longer what it used to be and today it is practically all marketing. A few days ago the WF-1000XM5 came out but I bet they will play at the maximum in the same way as my Sennheiser MTW3 (but sony's now stay at 300$ against 160$ of my mtw3 that have a year since their release) and still down to between 3anc

      I use Shure earbuds on wired and Shure Bluetooth earhooks. My buds are 10 years old. It's great having detachable earbuds (I also have lightning cable for them with slim dac in built, for total versatility).

    BT codecs and headphones have come a long way. I tried BT about 5 years ago and it sounded really bad and compressed.
    Today a 300$ headphone or 200$ IEM can be good enough that the added features make up for the small loss in sound quality. Also, when you are out and about in an environment full of distractions and other sounds, that difference goes to 0.

    Excellent review (subscribed I only found your channel looking for Status Between ANC reviews before deciding whether to go for them. And great description of affect of ANC generally.
    How do you rate the Status Between ANC and Technics AZ80?
    I like wired and wireless.
    Wired I use mostly at home but have a spare set of wired cheap earbuds with mic for emergency (my phone has a 3.5mm headphone socket along with ess sabre Quad DAC and aptx adaptive).
    Using Shure detachable earbuds (mmcx) with their cables and Bluetooth ear hooks means I have many options. My earbuds are nearly 10 years old (quad drivers) and so even if the earhooks battery eventually give up or a new type come out (eg lossless aptx supporting) I can carry on using my earbuds. And the earhooks worth with my 7hz Timeless which I love as well for sheer fun.
    I had some Edifier stax spirit s2 wireless headphones which sounded decent but usability was terrible. I have some wired sennheiser hd 560s which with a balanced 4.4mm cable, which the sennheiser design keeps out of the way, by having a single cable, sound lovely, and are so, so comfortable for long periods of listening.

    I need tws because I am often away from home and because I do sports and at the same time I like to listen to music. So I can't replace them with anything else. At the moment I've Sennheiser MTW3 and they're great if they are taken at a good price. I was opting for these 3anc between but both for the current limitations of bluetooth and since I had to pay the customs I preferred to spend less.

    LDAC is very close or the same as wired connection for sound quality, but until reliability of connection is better I'll stick with wire's.

    • @mrenlightened
      @mrenlightened ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've found my ES100's LDAC connection to my Pixel phone to be pretty reliable even when set to best quality in the Android developer settings. Same with Gustard R26. I am also able to barely able to distinguish it between wired for lower bitrate music 48/96.

    • @x7nick7x48
      @x7nick7x48 ปีที่แล้ว

      No because it It does not even reach the bitrate necessary to reproduce a CD quality song without losses. In addition to the fact that it is a scalable DAC and in most cases it reproduces at 660kbits, infact forcing it at 990kbits he loses a lot of stability.

    • @frederf69
      @frederf69 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@x7nick7x48 I know what you mean, but the term CD quality means nothing; the CD format can reach 16 bits, but often not. quality of recording, mixing & mastering is all that really matters.

I would love to know if anyone can inform me? I do like them very much! They do sound better to me then any other wireless earbuds that I’ve experienced to date!
