He deserves an oscar, he's a phenomenal actor, I'm not one who cares about the oscars considering it's a bunch of pretentious people that merely pick their favorite... I'll pick my own faves thanks, their opinion on a performance is merely that, their opinion, not fact... that being said I know how much it means to an actor, reputation/achievement wise, in that regard I hope he gets one..

man sometimes it feels like "hes so genuine" or "they are so adorable" can be thrown around too much for celebrities and actors but i genuinely believe that andrew garfield is a good person with a great humble head on his shoulders, and he just wants to act and live life to the fullest, such an inspiration

Is he though? It was a great interview, but I kept getting the feeling that it was Andrew Garfield as an interviewee doing what he does best: act! And that is ok. He's a great actor! Actors should deserve some privacy in doing these interviews. Glad to see he's getting recognition as a serious actor and not just "another Spiderman." And like he said, you couldn't really ask for a better group of actors nominated for best actor. Good luck to him.

But when I checked I was blown away that it was released to buy already. It's taken me three years to watch this movie that I have been wanting to watch for a while on Netflix and I finally watched it. What a performance by Andrew Garfield playing the musical director and lyricist Jonathan Larson, he was the perfect choice to portray that character who sadly isn't here with us. The movie really showed how difficult it is to write a musical/play but also the movie had a powerful message behind it. So emotional

I always liked Andrew as Spidey, great casting but I always felt like he needed a better material to work with since his solo movies were very messy and convoluted storywise. I'm glad the MCU managed to redeem him with a better script for him because he really deserves it, the guy has so much potential to be a great Spidey
I feel like I've only come to appreciate him in his latter movies. He's certainly improved and levelled up a lot and he's pretty much a beast of an actor now. He's at his prime
In Andrew's Peter's solo movies his villains just aren't special enough. But the main problem is it's the same ground that Toby just covered. It's why they are much better on rewatch. We're 10 years away from his first and Tom's Peter is different. No way home feels the closest to Tobey's & Andrew's Peters origin stories but because it's a multiverse movie it still feels different.

Guys, I know. I just find it personally funny that during the promotional phase of the movie, you basically saw him everywhere "promoting" the movie by saying he wasn't in it. To see him now so openly talking about it, is a leap. I have seen where he explained elsewhere in other interviews that he had to lie.

2021 is really a biggest important year for Andrew. With literally he has gotten about 4 movies in about a same year . And very memorable for Andrew is the master of keeping secrets to hide his ultimate comeback story as Spider-Man and becomes everyone’s favorite Spider-Man. But tick tick boom is the most epic performance of his career, which he really deserves to be a Oscar nominated and is the right actor to win best actor of this year’s Oscar.

Of all the performances this year , his is the one that is most skillful and genuinely difficult to achieve. He was portraying an American with flawless accent, completely immersed in the mannerism of a manic self possessed Jonathan Larson, singing and dancing too! All the emotional scenes hit the heart. I will vote for him for the Oscars for sure!

Everyone thought it was a lock for Chadwick Boseman last year as well. Who knows …. Personally I didn’t think Will’s performance was as strong as when he portrayed Ali. I mean watched some videos of Richard Williams and he doesn’t feel all that similar to Will’s depiction. Speech pattern and posture is off …. But maybe I’m too picky on the minor technical aspect.

Ive always enjoyed his work so I watched Tick Tick Boom. I had no idea what the movie was about before I started watching but I was captivated by his performance. Without him in it I think it would have been just another musical. There are some really good transition shots though
