I was just thinking of taking my SIB on the South Fork of the Snake river. Your video was just the motivation I needed. Love the shot of you on the boat while it’s snowing. True dedication.
I put the lip of the intake shoe even with the tunnel so it should never hit bottom when running unless its a large boulder that you roll over. I have multiple motors so I use shims for each one to get it just right. Sometimes if I am on the Skeena only I will lower it slightly so it doesn't cavitate when hitting waves but on skinny water i move it up so that it is level with the tunnel.
In my time, my father and I spent so much effort in building and fiberglassing two , 30 foot plywood river boats years ago , run by 70 hp propeller out boards. They could hold so much weight , fuel, cargo , all the provisions on long trips up , down the rivers to untouched hunting grounds. The Solars inflatables now have simplified the whole trek to the remote areas , that you dare to take on your next adventure. Solar 470 Super Jet tunnel hull , Awesome 👍

As a "Northern Boy" myself I always enjoy your videos. Well done.
Thanks
So good! Well done Rob!
Thanks
Beauty!!! Can’t wait to get me a 470 and start exploring some of these areas.
You will love it
That boat is amazing 👍
Yes it will go almost any where
I am very interested. Can you carry a moose? How about two guys, a moose, and a light camp?
Impressing! How much hp? 2 or 4-strok? Weight of the boat and outboarder separately? Thanks for an inspiring video.
Usually a 20 or 30 hp depending on whether i will need to carry it
Well Done you are living the dream
Yes indeed
Cool video
What's the name of the jet? Does it come with the outboard?
Hi Rob, would you mind sharing how you have the motor set up for height for the intake?

Level with the tunnel, meaning level with the top edge of the tunnel I’m guessing? Thanks for getting back.
What’s the fuel economy/range like? Thanks
