Rajon Rondo dropped 16 points 10 assists and 4 rebounds in game 2 of the NBA finals. We can’t apologize enough to Rondo and Vogel for not listening to everyone saying bench Rondo. Lakers aren’t 14-3 in the playoffs without him.

Rondo can read the game great without question, but he's had some team chemistry issues throughout his career. Would be interesting to see how he handles that aspect as a head coach

RONDOOOOOOOOOOO!!! He’s been saving his energy for these playoffs
Ironically they played him less this season than any other year of his career... He has a free agent contract and many critics were bad mouthing him about how would LEBRON play point guard all season and Rondo’s reaction to not playing. But he kept silent and didn’t lose sight of winning as a team and when his number was called he did what he always does in big moments... Plays to win!

i miss 2020 Lakers, they weren't good at 3s, but they could defend. And somehow...they could score pretty effortlessly, the team had very good chemistry and just knew what to do.
That being said, a lot of the players in 2020 were at the later half of their career, so I don't think they could remain competitive against top teams in the following year, so some changes and trades had to be done. But that Westbrook trade...c'mon....it destroyed the team without a doubt.

Vogel deserves a lot of credit for his rotations. I never thought Caruso and LeBron would play so well together with Rondo.
The Lakers really needed much of the playmaking + defensive prowess of Rondo and much of the defense on the paint of the likes of Howard and Mcgee during last season. That's why Denver gave them the sweep cause they couldn't contain Jokic which bolsters the offense of Murray and others

Rondo is still a top 7 PG in the NBA, he just needs the right pieces around him and the freedom to run the offense. That's why he was so good ib Boston and so bad with the Mavericks; he needs shooters and quality bigs so that he can dictate the tempo and get the ball to the open man.
He would've been fine in Dallas if Carlisle wasn't such a control freak.
