Wow, that's a pretty sweet dorm set up and a step up from my dorm back in 1978! Walk down Franklin St. to 808 W. Franklin and my room was on the 1st floor with the big window facing Franklin! :)
I got accepted to VCU! And I’m in between JMU and VCU... please make a video on how the vibe is (people wise, pros and cons of VCU, and what’s there to do on a Friday night lol)
@@norihood2446 for sure!!! So I did get into VCU!🥳 And I am still attending!!🥳🥳 I’m a junior now and I changed my major a couple times HAHA, but I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it!!! All of my classes are virtual due to COVID, but I love it!!!😭😭😭
Hi there, I'm doing some research for a book I'm writing and this is a great video. Not too many videos show what things really look like inside the dorms. You guys have nice digs :)
It was just the fridge, oven and dishwasher included. No microwave included when I was there (not sure if this has changed). All other kitchen supplies we had to bring
My dream job is to be a pharmacist! And the college I want to go is VCU! I really hope I can study and work hard enough to attend here! I’m in middle school btw. 5 more years lol
Congrats! I've never personally lived in a freshman dorm, but I've had friends who've lived in Brandt, Rhoades & Johnson and they loved the experience! Freshman halls tend to have more of a community feel.
I wouldn’t say that it’s the “worst.” I’ve never personally been in that building and haven’t heard anything awful about it. It does have a really good location - it’s closer to the commons, Cary St. gym, classes, etc. than some of the other dorms
Bryauna Lynn ok. Just make sure you change the water a lot or get a filter and that the tank is at least a gallon and you don't let the water get under like 70° for beta fish because they are tropical and cold can be bad for them. Not trying to sound mean or make it seem like you don't do those things, I just get kinda paranoid when I see people with fish in tanks like that because I really love animals and don't wanna see them get neglected no matter how small they are. I hope you and skittle are doing great!
It's a beta fish, they're supposed to be in small tanks like that. In their natural habitat they live by hopping from puddle to puddle in rice paddies. They thrive in small spaces and still water. A 1 gallon tank is too big for a beta fish to patrol the perimeter of. They're territorial. Also they're not built for currents, so a water filter can cause stress, fatigue, and illness. The lights in the that type of tank provide heat (2 watts of light produce 98 watts of heat, do the math). Please, please do your research before you give pet care advice, because your advice here could stress out and/or kill even the healthiest beta fish if someone did not fact check you.
This is the best dorm tour I’ve seen lol thanks for showing parts of the building

I can't wait to go to VCU💪
Came back to this video a couple weeks into school. I ended up losing out on on-campus housing. But!!! I stay at the james. It's pretty lit.

I’m so excited to go here for nursing next year
This is a dated video, but did G&B provide appliances like pots and pans or was it just like the fridge and dishwasher?
It was just the fridge, oven and dishwasher included. No microwave included when I was there (not sure if this has changed). All other kitchen supplies we had to bring
You’re so pretty oh my god
Aw thank you!!!

You can do it! 👍🏽
5 years later how’s it going?
Thank you for making this video it was very helpful. But are the dorms same in the freshman buildings.
No they are a little different. Those are typically shared rooms without kitchens. GRC is the main freshman dorm now
💛This was so dope🖤
love this!
You still go to vcu? I'm getting ready to transfer there. I want to find the best living space and be an RA.
Yeah I do! They should be accepting RA applications this upcoming fall for the spring semester if there’s openings/the following school year.
@@BryaunaLynn Awesome, is this the only place you've lived during your time at vcu? If not, which place did you like the most?
over the summer
My dream school 🤞🏻
Hey! What are some activities to do on campus?
Stay tuned for a video!
Do you get the weekend off like high school?
LETS GOOOO RAAAMMMSSS

cool video! i got accepted to vcu and am deciding if i want to go there... are normal freshmen dorms as nice as the one in your video?

Is GRC3 considered like the worst location to live in when going to VCU?

Not trying to be rude, but your fish probably isn't gonna live long in that tank...
I’ve actually had him for two years, living in that exact tank. Thanks for your input though.
