Very very interesting. Explains a lot that other of the abandoned mine exploring sites do not. They use the terms, show the video, but don't explain how it all works. Thank you!
I'm not a miner and have no interest in going down a mine but understanding what these old timers endured so the world we live in can have the raw materials it needs, gives me a whole new respect for their work. Its so important to document these sites so we can remember what they did in the darkness.
I don’t even know where to begin. The drawing was wonderfully done and answered lots of questions. Before you sell it on eBay, Is it possible to make like an 8x10 page of it for viewers like me to buy at a low cost? You could mail in a flat envelope at media rate which is cheap. Maybe have this mine type on one side and on the other side have the drawing of the other type of mining you plan to make. I remember being in your top 20 subscribers. Your channel is growing fast. Good for you. You keep an eye on Gly and entertain us. Thx.
For a personal copy (don't resell it, Mr. M will be upset!) - Take a computer screen snap shot. How? - On a Windows computer, maximize the video window for best quality, pause the video when the drawing is on the screen and press these computer keys simultaneously: Shift, Windows logo key that's between the Ctrl & Alt keys & the"S" key. The entire screen will go gray and the mouse cursor will become a + sign. At one corner of the image of the drawing, press and hold down the left mouse button and the drag the mouse to the other corner, which will make that part of the computer screen have the normal brightness level again, and then let go of the left mouse button. If your speakers are on, and you have Windows 10, you will hear a chime and your screen capture will appear (sometimes you have to click the bottom right message icon on the task bar). Click on the screen capture and a larger image of it will appear where you will see the save-icon. The quality will only be as good as the image on the screen, so you might have to pause the video a couple times to catch a moment when the camera is not panning or zooming.
Thank you for the drawing and definitions of mining terms. When I first started Gly's show I was looking up words left and right. Much thanks to the two of you for opening up a world of mining and geology,

Yes, it was awfully hard work unless of course you rip the mountain part. Thanks again for the knowledge and great job on the drawing. Don't get me started on the price of gas. Back in the 1970s with the first gas crisis I used paint thinner in my mom's '67 cougar while going to college. In those days in the State of California one could buy bulk paint thinner from Standard Brand Paints and it would run carburatored vehicles. It was about 75 octane and pinged alot when under load but I didn't have to wait in lines for fuel. It was also about $0.50 cheaper than regular gas.
