Fairy Tail is good on it's own, but there's no question that the music elevates it to insane heights! Even though most of the best songs are all just remixes of the main theme, and they come on so often...they NEVER get old or fail to make you feel what you're supposed to feel. Like this theme NEVER fails to get you hyped!

this song is almost always used for the climax's of the big fights. it gives an extreme hype.
"Family" is one of, if not *the* main core value of fairy tail, whether it's family bonds by blood, or 'found family'. Ive always loved how this show, along with it's many messages, puts protecting 'family' and fighting for them (literally or symbolically) as priority.
It's one of those comfort shows where you can just chill, laugh a lot, cry sometimes, and watch an adventure with crazy epic osts. It's good, simple story telling (nothing as complex as JJK for example) but with characters and character dynamics that make you unable to stop watching. Really both a light hearted funny enjoyable show, AND a deep show that makes you resonate with characters and give you some damn real life lessons, and can sometimes make you bawl.
It's really an apophasis in the form of a show, since, as you can tell from the music, it sounds quite inspirational or motivational, in an exciting/upbeat way. The message being that no matter what hardship life throws at you, giving up isnt an option.
Seriously, the music tracks are all bangers, every single one of them.

You are correct!Iirc the base idea for fairy tail was people in a guild doing adventures together,and mashima deliberately had way less focus on romance in this particular work of his because the friendships are the central and core part of it.
The broader core cast is quite literally mostly a bunch of orphans that found a new family in the guild.
It´s also why I think the complaint that it relies on power of friendship too much is kinda stupid (that and...the actual power of friendship stuff that people generally talk about isnt actually as present as people make it out to be),like,the whole point of the show is found family in the friends they are.It is a show MEANT to be uplifting,to show how important friends truly are,and how friends can often be more of a family than your actual family.
I think even the romance it has is enough and a lot. It is not non existent. And it is true that Mashima focused on friendship, and it is very logical considering the fact that he had the idea for Fairy Tail from him and his friends just drinking together at bars. Like they do in Fairy Tail. The guy is amazing! Fairy Tail in my opinion has it all. Comedy, Action, Romance, It talks about friendship and makes you love even the villains, it makes you cry and feel like home. It was my sanctuary when i did not have any friends back in school, and it is my sanctuary now that I feel lonely and im in my early 20's. @@zecendia

Fairy Tail is such an interesting manga/anime, many people hate it, others love it to death, personally I really enjoyed watching it because it doesn't have as much filler nonsense as a lot of other long series. Also it was just a fun adventure anime with a cool magic system and interesting characters.
Also the music is just phenomenal from opening to ending and everything in between.

@@dragodenzel4139 Part of it may be that one of the longer filler arcs (key of the starry sky) is technically not filler,it was mentioned in a volume afterword,but it was intentioned to be a manga arc before the anime got a bit too close to catching up and as such it was made an anime only arc .Evidence for this is present by the "zentopia incident" being directly mentioned in the manga aswell as the new oracion seis designs and powers actually being carried along when they all reappear later in the manga.
FT Osts always give that "Conquer the World" vibe.

Fairy Tail is a Japanese take on European Fantasy tropes mixed with being as Shonen as its possible to be.
Dragon Force is one of the coolest OST's in Fairy Tail. Also, the shows not about schools, its about Magic Guilds and doing adventures and Quests. Fairy Tail is going to return soon with the adaptation of Hundred Years Quest pretty soon.

Would recommend Gray's Theme and Lucy's Theme as well as everything from the soundtrack.
No matter how much (MASSIVELY BS!) "criticism" this show gets there is absolutely no denying that the OST is the literal GOAT! No other anime even comes close to the consistent highs that Fairy Tail puts out and this is one of the best, this song makes you feel like you could solo the entire goddamn world and look like a freaking badass throughout.
Needless to say, Fairy Tail is a series that you must watch at some point, it's also one where I would actually recommend the dub over the sub.

I'm one of those who watched all of those "big animes" you mentioned (Bleach, Naruto, DBZ, MHA, etc.) and I can say that Fairy Tail OST makes me the most HYPE of them all.
Fairy Tail is one of those animes I simply cannot believe someone could watch without binging entire arcs in 1 sitting.
Every (canon) episode is so freaking hype and I COULD NOT just stop watching mid-arc.

You need to listen to "Mezameru Tamashii" from Fairy Tail. This is one of the most emotional Soundtrack I have ever heard in my life. Truly a masterpiece of a song. With this OST you will know how deep the emotions in Fairy Tail go. Right under your skin!

Fairy Tail is definitely worth a watch if you just want a FUN anime, just like you said.
TECHNICALLY the anime is about wizards working in different guilds, doing guild things: helping people, accepting jobs etc. Other "classes" do exist, because a lot of people in the world don't even possess magic. The guilds are regulated by a separate political entity and of course people sometimes go wack and use magic for evil.
Fairy Tail is the name of the guild that the main characters are a part of and the jobs they undertake can range from literally exploring to bounties, so just as you said, its primarily an adventure which they really tried to embody in the main motif of the songs. There is also a lot of symbolism in the show, including the name of the guild, but that's something you discover while watching. Fairies don't have tails 😉
A tournament between the guilds IS held every so often, ranking them, so more powerful ones are usually more popular too, but it is not the main focus of the series.
This makes me feel so nostalgic, I’ve got goosebumps. Fairy Tail OST’s never fail to hit.

5:06 I've been watching anime since the early 2000s, I have seen Bleach, Naruto & Shippuden, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and original, the entire Dragon Ball franchise, Yu-Gi-Oh! + GX + 5ds + Zexal + Arc V, Inuyasha (only once on this one), Black Clover, Zatch Bell, Hunter x Hunter (both versions), My Hero Academia, Yu Yu Hakusho (aka spirit detective), Legend of the Galactic Heroes, and Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki. Add onto that a couple hundred shorter series. So yes, there are people who have watched EVERYTHING, especially the longer anime.

I actually put on a Fairy Tail OST as background music for me while I worked last night. It was super motivating. I chose "Mystogan's Theme" to play on repeat for the couple hours I worked. One of my favorite tracks from the series.
Saw Natsu in the thumbnail, clicked withought a single thought. People love to meme on the "friendship power" but it was the music that got me hooked, All this just because I decided to check out an anime on a whim and I don't regret it
Fairy Tail has some of the most beautiful and iconic OPs and OSTs, some of them are just so memorable, powerful, and will transcend time.
Unrelated, but there's an anime, Babylon, it's OP theme which is an instrumental one, is so unique...
As someone who has watched all of Fairy Tail, this song plays in ALL the HYPE moments. So good

It was definitely so good every time they played this OST during the show. The hype was always amazing. I honestly don't like to compare anime especially when they don't have the same/similar themes. But I would say Fairy Tail was one of the good ones. The storylines were pretty original and some arcs are executed and connected very well. It's also one of the anime that incorporated its filler arcs to the main storyline which is amazing. Would love to see you react to the show someday ❤

But no the show basically lived off of a handful of admittedly really good hype moments and an excellent soundtrack with a large cast of likeable characters in the midst of honestly very lazy writing in the form of "friendship is magic" style random powerups to get characters out of a hole the author wrote them into, 2-3 fake out deaths per season to the point in which it eventually removes all tension in fight scenes because there's a 80% chance everyone involved (even villains) survive and even when someone does die you end up not believing it and find yourself just waiting for them to re appear randomly when it's most convenient
I really liked the earlier seasons nd there were a couple more good arcs in the middle, but damn it got tiring once I started noticing the patterns

Fairytail is filled with these banger ost. The sort of folk rock genre is done so damn well by them. You should check out “lightning flame dragon roaring” or something to that effect I can’t recall the ost exactly but dude it goes hard. Definitely worth checking out.

I watched and read Fairy Tail as it aired and completed. I'm now reading the sequel (100YQ) manga and can't wait for it to get animated. Fairy Tail is special to me in that I don't have a "favorite character" or "interesting lore" that keeps me interested in it. Somehow, the energy, the pacing, and the character relationships are what I enjoy the most. The childishness, the heavy reliance on the power of friendship/family... It may be annoying to some, but never, never did it feel overplayed to me. I love this series, and I consider it my childhood alongside One Piece, Bleach, and KHR.

The Fairy Tail OST is amazing and it only gets better if you've watched the show and have established some emotional story connection to those same tracks.
Hard to pick favourites, but some that have stood to me out are: Mystogans Theme, Scarlett Warrioress, Champion of Magic, Juvia of the Great Sea, Seven Kins of Purgatory.
But yeah, probably no wrong answers when it comes to this OST.
Side note: Consider a reaction to the Kinmoza songs if not done already. If only for the AYAYA memes.

I had chills every time when the Fairy tail main theme sounded, that moments are beyond epic
after i graduated from high school i took a seven year break to figure my life out before heading to collage. in that seven i binged every old anime and watched all the current at the time anime and during college now I'm fully caught up with all the anime to this day also i follow the three episode rule watch the first three episode and if you like it keep watching if not drop it.

I would recommend Yu Yu Hakusho OST Struggles of Saddness for a reaction because it’s great and a really Iconic ost in general.
Also Digimon Japanese openings too would be great since you said you watched that anime dubbed in the past and I made a playlist of all of them if you’re interested.

The music was one of the biggest draws for Fairy Tail (at least to me). I can honestly say there's not a single bad song. It mixes fantasy, adventure, and emotion so well. A soundtrack's goal is to immerse the consumer in the experience and Fairy Tail's OST does this perfectly. 100% recommend checking out the anime at some point. Hiro Mashima does reuse his previous character's base models (kind of his staple signature. Look up Rave Master and you'll see) but his story telling is phenomenal. As a big fan of Found Family and Nakamaship, Fairy Tail is one of my favorite animes/mangas.

man fairy tail was truly goated back in the day, unfortunatly it kinda gets stale in the end, which is the only reason stopping me from rewatching it.
Pretty much all the music for Fairy Tail is epic and emotional. You should also check out Satan Soul and Jellal's battle theme from the ost with how hard they go.

I adore Fairy Tail, would definitely recommend it! To give you the brief elevator pitch, Fairy Tail is about a guild of wizards that take on jobs and go on adventures. I think episode 2 is what really sucked me in, it has a wonderfully goofy sense of humor that I hadn't seen in a long time. Then really starts to show its heart and emotion and made me love the characters. It has its flaws but sometimes the soul of a show just pulls you in.😊 Also, if you get annoyed by the "power of friendship" trope, this anime is NOT for you😂

I haven't watched fairy tail but this ost is so good.

People can say what they want about the series. I too have my gripes with the anime (esp after the studio change..). But we can't deny how absolutely amazing the OST and the Fairy Tail leitmotif is.

That 'symbol' of fairy tail in there, it is stamped on my skin literally a tattoo that i will leave there until my dying breath :) fairy tail is a good anime/manga that depicts that without friends you cannot do a thing, but with friends you can do anything! even magic ;)

Fairy Tail is like the best junk food you've had in your childhood, if you look at it through the eyes of an adult and try to analyze it, it'll lose it's charm.
But if you just turn off your brain and just watch it for the sake of enjoying the ride and being a part of it, it's gonna be exactly like you said, it will be "fun".

This is basically the main theme but on CRACK and a mix of RedBull, Monster , Rockstar, 5 hour energy pure adrenalin.
I would say that the very basic premise of the show is the strength of the family you build and not just the blood in your veins. Very good music, and is just super fun to watch. I would s ay the first 20 -30 episodes are a little to watch just because of the style they tried to do back then, or at least it is for me.
Fairytail is about a world where everyone has magic. And those who possess an abundance of it or just want to make a career out of it, become wizards and join these organizations called guilds, where they can accept jobs for pay, and spend time with friends. Fairy tail is the name of a guild where our main cast of characters is. This theme dragon force plays when our main character named Natsu fights with the force of a dragon, basically when he pushes his magic to its limits and beats the shit out of baddies. A very badass theme, that plays when the villain realizes they’re fucked.

I know it's taboo to bring up Sub v Dub but as someone who has seen both I really really think the dub gets you hyped up and hits those feels so much harder than the sub. The voice acting is simply amazing. Please watch the dub if you react to it as you'll be so glad you did. It's a long but exciting journey!
I've seen both and both are definitely amazing! I love the sub voices, but the dub VAs did a stupendous job as well, which is no small feat on a show as wild as this one gets! Definitely one of the better dub casts out there
