Oh Mama. What a sweet, funny and mature young man you have there. Thank you both for sharing this info. I don’t need it but I listened to every minute because Arami is so respectful and it does give us hope for the future. 🙌🏻
I agree! My youngest has long been done with school, but I watched the entire thing. Arami was just an encouragement to me. What a great example he must be to his younger siblings. This brought back so many happy homeschool memories. Thank you.
What an amazing young man Arami is! What a fantastic role model he is for all his younger siblings. Wish I was home schooled with this curriculum when I was growing up many moons ago. Great job parents! ❤
Your son is absolutely amazing. So articulate, handsome and polite. It must make your homeschooling so much easier. Are all the boys interested as he is had you homeschooled before?
Your son is the most positive student I've ever come across...and I've been teaching for 18 years already! What a great guy who cares about learning and does his best with his work...💯🌟
We love BJU. The hub is amazing and a huge upgrade from their old system. I enjoy that they provide more than enough needed and you can go into the parent account and skip assignments and the kids never know and it allows you to adapt it to your child and their needs. You can add outside classes to the calendar and track those grades. It's been really great for us. Every year I give my kids a choice to try something else and they choose BJU.
Oh my goodness so many sons! Such a blessing. You have a beautiful family. I hope I am able to homeschool my future children, public school is scary. I was the most well behaved students and the teachers still found a way to make me feel small. I don’t want that for my future children.
You have done an amazing job with Arami! He is bright, intelligent and very well spoken for a 15 year old young man. I can tell he is passionate about learning and he will be successful no matter what he pursues in life. Thank you for a walk thru of this homeschool program, I wish I had this program 25 years ago! Congratulations Momma, Dad and Arami!
Wow such a kind young man! So sweet to his mom too. Your daddy is proud of you Arami I know it!!! Good job mama. Would be interesting to see a younger grade day as well!🙏
Also I am ahomeschool mama as well, not as many students as you, only 2 hehe but it’s such a blessing to teach these kiddos amazing books and work ethic as well. I always feel like a mama hen that has her chikies under her wings but isn’t the world a scary place for our dear little souls?
What an amazing young man you have there! He is so well spoken, respectful and a wonderful role model for all his brothers (and baby sister). Thanks for sharing your school day with us!
That program looks amazing! Would love to see what this program looks like for the younger kids too since they might be less likely to do things on their own! 😊 So glad God has blessed you all with a platform to share your faith and God’s faithfulness in every aspect of life! You all are so encouraging to watch!
I really enjoyed this. I homeschooled my son after I took him out of Christian school many yrs ago in 3rd grade and loved it, but sure wish they had this incredible looking homeschool platform! Such a blessing for sure especially with having so many kids. Arami did an awesome job! ❤❤❤
I’m so happy for you all! Homeschooling my children in the 80”seas sooo much work preparation! I was constantly overwhelmed. Your children are being educated not indoctrinated!
What a precious gift from God Arami is to this family. How blessed is he and are you as parents and siblings. Such a responsible, astute, and respectful young man before God and mankind. I pray he continues to shine that bright light of Gods love out through his life into this lost world. Be strong and faithful Arami as you learn to walk daily in God's will and purpose for your life. Selah and Amen.
Wow great program and what a nice young man you are raising! A smart and mature and caring man! This is exactly how all children should be learning- it looks like he takes responsibility and cares about his schoolwork. Great job Aramy you should be proud and I’m sure he will be very successful in whatever he chooses to do as an adult
I genuinely appreciate and admire the clear dedication and organizational skills necessary to master educating your many children at home! Equally true, I'm hoping that sustainability (as in carbon footprints, finite natural resources, etc.), are likewise included in the curriculum.
Loved this video, enjoyed meeting Arami up close and seeing your home school set up. I agree with all the complimentary comment expressed in the comments. Great job! Love this family! ❤🙏
It is important to know this isn’t the only way to homeschool. I have homeschooled for 20 years and in my experience in changes year to year. We didn’t thrive with much computer until they were older. My go to is The Good and the Beautiful. I will suggest that all day long. The best thing to remember is they You are the expert in Your home!
This video was so helpful! Found your channel a couple of weeks ago when searching BJU Press videos and have enjoyed watching the channel. Your son is so well spoken and he did a great job explaining his day. Loved hearing the baby in the video 😊
Arami is so articulate, intelligent, and HANDSOME! I was really impressed with your homeschool curriculum( I believe I saw some teachings of Charles SPURGEON on the screen...my favorite!) The BJU Press looks like the way to go. Good job, boys(and Mom)! This was very inspirational!
What a well spoken handsome son you have-I love that he is taking Bible . I am going to show this to my daughter her almost 13 year old daughter is struggling at her new school-not to mention how worldly it is- we are praying a school for all our kids will develop in our rural area that puts Jesus first but still gives exemplary life skills through education 💞
I’m sorry to hear that your daughter is struggling at school. I pray that she can stand firm, and that the Lord would provide the perfect opportunity for her.
I dare say that Arami would "love" all these subjects as much if he was in a worldly school as opposed to being taught in this Godly home! Keep up the great work !
I think it’s great that you found a homeschooling curriculum and system that is working well for you, that’s a big thing to do with this many kids! Just a suggestion, it might be a good idea for you to blur out your son’s last name on his laptop in videos, you never know what crazy is out there.
I really enjoyed listen to your well spoken son! The curriculum is unbelievably well set out. Pt L for technology I did home schooling before computers came on the scene. It was another world May the Lord give mama strength for every day for her busy life! 😂
I have a 11 year old and a 17-year-old and have been struggling to do this homeschool thing and this program sound like it might be great for all of us to help keep everyone on track I'm going to check it out hopefully it's not expensive I was looking at your older videos and there's nothing else on homeschool so I would love to see more homeschool I just subscribed.
I hope you are able to find the curriculum that works best for y’all! I will definitely be doing more homeschool videos soon. Thanks so much for tuning in.
Arami seems such a well spoken and polite young man. Credit to you for raising him well! I would be interested to see what the program looks like for a younger child as we are currently homeschooling our eldest who is almost 7.
Can you schedule 6 days of school per week? How does the program handle errors on tests/quizzes? Does the program go for scores or mastery? Looks very well organuzed! If Arami is interested in animals or soils, i would suggest he look into regenerative agriculture. Dirt to Soil by Gabe Brown would be a good overview. Joel Salatin books would be more specific about species or building portable structures.
Arami is such a delightful young man! I'm so glad to have found your channel today! I've been catching up, watching all your videos from oldest to latest. What an amazing story you have! You asked a few times for viewers to tell you what else we want to know. I would very much like to know how you came to the decision to homeschool. I especially would like to hear if Caleb was on board from the start. This is top on my mind because just yesterday, I saw two different moms on our local homeschool group's FB page ask how to get their husbands on board because that's all that's keeping them from pulling their kids out of school. My husband and I decided on homeschooling even before we had our only child. That decision was even more affirmed when she was born with a life-threatening congenital defect. For a time there, we weren't sure how long we're going to have her. By God's mercy and grace, she's completely healthy now, but that experience further strengthened our resolve to homeschool. We just aren't willing to let her spend most of her waking hours away from us. This is only one of seemingly countless reasons why we homeschool, of course. I look forward to hearing yours. TIA! 🙂
I’ll let Tamara answer most of this but I can speak to the homeschool question. I was homeschooled, and was homeschooling my boys when Tamara and I met. We talked about it as one of our most important things while dating. We are glad you are here! - Caleb
We use ACE paces, my kids like that it is self led ( for the most part, my lower elementary grades still gets some hand on Help😊) my older kids love that they don't have to wait on me for the next thing.. I love that it allows me to be more of Momma than just the Teacher. Id love to do video school for them all but, this is much more affordable :)
That looks like a wonderful homeschool system. Lots of books. You mentioned choice of modules. Do they have say Grammar and Writing modules without the religious background slant? Also interested to know of the cost compared to other homeschool systems that you may have used or looked at? Maybe you get a bulk discount, lol.

Would love if you could share how this is meeting the needs of the littler kids as well as some of those in between ages. Thanks again!
Yes! I’ll work on a video highlighting the little ones next! Totalllllly understand the struggle of organizing time with lots of kids. I’m with you, mama! The Hub has been a game-changer for me. Glad you’re here!!
Looks amazing! Do you and Dad pull small groups to do activities, read aloud, phonics games or art, wood shop, etc? Your son is so well spoken and positive. What a gem! I wonder if there are stands for the iPad so their necks are not bent?
That depends on the age (and the kid). The older boys can easily spend 7-8 hours a day on their work, but sometimes less. My youngest, who is five, can spend 3-4 hours a day. Their attitudes and work ethic also play a large role. 😉

There is no real-time teacher, as the videos are pre-recorded. That’s where I come in! Thankfully, the teacher’s guides are very detailed, so if someone gets stuck and I can’t help them from my own brain, I can easily open up the teacher’s guide and figure out how to help them.
We have been using ABeka going on 19 years ❤ We start the on line streaming in 8th grade. We have 3 graduated and 3 more to go 😊 Bob Jones looks very similar to what ABeka has to offer on line as well. Have a wonderful school year!!
How many hours does a typical day end up being from start to finish? My five year old needs multiple breaks from our home schooling curriculum. We have 3 hrs of live sessions and about 3 hrs of virtual work. I feel like it’s way too much for him. We’re getting by, thank you Jesus. 😊
That definitely varies based on the grade level (and the kid). My five-year-old spends maybe three hours a day. He actually begs to do more each day, so sometimes I have him practice handwriting or do another activity. But it’s definitely not six hours.
History and Spanish lesson in one, what and why is the archery on the cover of the Spanish book? lol. Except for the biblical POV, sounds good. Some subjects are, let's say, difficult for that view, I was thinking of Geology...
and these people think PUBLIC school is indoctrinating children 😂 homeschooling allows for individualized education, with a lot of interaction w parents, and yet you do this??
I was wondering what type of educated job Arami will look into for an acceptance after he’s completed each of his assignments along with his important textbooks📚🗂️📒📓
What a well spoken and eloquent young man Arami is! He is a credit to you, as I'm sure all your children are.
Indeed!
@Vonnie55
Not only do I agree 100% with your comment , I also affirm 55 was the most auspicious year !!!!
Couldn’t agree more! What a lovely young man.
What a well spoken young man ! This is what this next generation needs !
As a former elementary teacher, the BJU curriculum hub looks amazing. Thank you, Arami, for the digital tour. 📚

Love all the sweet noises the baby is making. Thanks for sharing your Homeschool curriculum.

Very nice young man good job mom
What a great homeschool set up!
Thanks for sharing a day in the life of a home schooled HS student. I wish this curriculum plan would've been available 20 years back for my son.
Totally. Caleb said the same thing, as he was homeschooled as a child. It’s definitely a great curriculum.
Great job explaining your day!!! We never used the online portion of BJU and it was nice to view that option. Thank you.
Thanks so much for tuning in!
Amazing young man 😊
Loved this, he is such a good kid!
You have a very smart son. Seems so well mannered.
Wonderful looking curriculum! It looks expensive!
Great explanation Arami, well done 😊, this looks like an excellent program especially for parents with many children,

Sounds like it works well for your family.
Wondering if you supplement with other types of learning besides the videos, especially for the younger students? Math manipulatives and games, science projects, reading books?
We don’t supplement with any other curriculum. That’s one thing I love about BJU Press Homeschool - it truly has all we need. The curriculum incorporates manipulative, activities, and reading books, and those all come with it. It’s plug and play.
Very informative video

You guys are awesome!!! How long does school take each day?
My question as well.
That depends on the age (and the kid). The older boys can easily spend 7-8 hours a day on their work, but sometimes less. My youngest, who is five, can spend 3-4 hours a day. Their attitudes and work ethic also play a large role. 😉
How much does this cost ?
According to the website, about $1,000 per kit, give or take depending on the format. They have a payment plan.
Excellent review!!! Thanks for sharing. How long is the school day? Is there lunch and outdoor/sports time each day?
I take my hat of for you 2 parents.
Thanks and thanks for being here.
How many hours a day do the kids spend in homeschool
Do you spend extra time does each child spend the same amount of time per day on the school work
Time spent definitely depends on the grade (and the kid). Some days, our oldest spends 7-8 hours, and some days less. Our youngest spends probably 3-4 hours a day on most days. But it also depends on their motivation and the level at which they are focusing. 😉
How long does it take the kids to do their schoolwork
Anywhere between 4-6 hours. Sometimes 7 on tougher days.

💕👍
I can not see how this program would work for a child that has attention issues or learning issues 😢
It might just take a lot more input from the parent.
There is a parent led option as well where you would teach your child from a teacher guide.
