A line almost unknown to me as well as all those in Tyrol... the tram goes up to Paschegg and sees the landscape of the Karwendel in the background that we saw in Scharnitz. Beautiful journey even if slow up to Igls. Thanks for this short but beautiful line.
Die Innsbrucker Mittelgebirgsbahn (Linie 6) ist eine wirklich faszinierende Lokal- und Kleinbahn im Süden von Innsbruck (Schmalspur 1000 mm). Bereits mehrmals von der Einstellung bedroht, ist ihr Bestand nunmehr (hoffentlich) gesichert. Die (echte) Mitfahrt kann jedem Eisenbahnfreund, der Tirol besucht, nur empfohlen werden (man kann mit der Straßenbahnlinie 1 direkt zum Bergisel fahren). In Igls im Innsbrucker Mittelgebirge gibt es schöne Wanderwege und Gasthäuser, und nahe des Bahnhofs liegt die Talstation der Seilbahn auf den Patscherkofel, den Hausberg Innsbrucks; damit auf den Berg zu fahren und einen herrlichen Panoramablick auf das Ober- und Unterinntal und das ganze Mittelgebirge genießen zu können, rentiert sich. - The Innsbruck Mittelgebirgsbahn (line 6) is a really fascinating local and small railway in the south of Innsbruck (narrow gauge 1000 mm). Already threatened with closure several times, its existence is now (hopefully) secured. The (real) ride can only be recommended to every railway enthusiast visiting Tyrol (you can take tram line 1 directly to Bergisel). In Igls in the Innsbruck low mountain range there are beautiful hiking trails and inns, and near the train station is the valley station of the cable car to the Patscherkofel, Innsbruck's local mountain; It's worth it to drive up the mountain and enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Upper and Lower Inn Valley and the entire low mountain range.
Kein Wunder, dass diese Strecke von der Einstellung bedroht ist. Durch den Wald nimmt sie jede Kurve, die nur möglich ist mit 20 km/h. Aufbau zu mindestens 60 km/h ist wohl notwendig,

Und solang die Fahrzeit nicht zumindest ansatzweise mit dem Bus vergleichbar ist wäre das für die Bevölkerung auch eher ein downgrade.
