When I studied in the Philippines in elementary grades. The teachers taught GMRC ...Good Manners and Right Conduct. They taught also religion like prayers. When high schooI I enrolled at the Seveth Day Adventist school and we had Bible subject. The more I learned about God.God's teaching is perfect saying to love God above all and love also your human beings.
The GOAT coach of Gilas and Ginebra in the PBA, Tim Cone is a product of Philippine public school system, just so you know, Captain T.❤ And yes, he’s American.
although infrastracture in public school here in ph kinda sucks but the teacher i've had and the environment i experienced is so precious. i've had a very passionate teachers and most of my classmates are still my friends and held a mini reunion atleast once a year 😅
Yes some Filipino teachers are abroad, but they are teaching based on their specialties and not related behavioural or cultural! Unless they incorporate the usual SKA in their teaching. In Philippines values are important and being incorporated in all subjects being taught.
Good decision but make sure that you don't deprived your child of his American heritage as well. Enroll him on some school where he can also explore his American heritage as well as fitting into the Philippine culture and life style. He will thank you for it because he will grow up into a well rounded, compassionate and loving individual. Anyway, Philippine curriculum touches on American history and culture as well and in some way, America has a huge influence in the Philippines as you might have observed living there now but the advantage of staying in the Philippines is the discipline the family imposes on their children i.e. respect for elders, etc. Also the ability to adapt in any given harsh situation and still finding joy doing so. The one disadvantage is America is a rich, modern, more advanced country with plenty of opportunities whilst the Philippines is still developing, so lacking in some ways compared to the USA. Good luck and make sure your child will be happy with what decision you will make regarding his future. Just so you know there is quite difference in opportunities studying in public and private schools in the Philippines. Speaking here as a former teacher who both taught in public and private school in the Philippines who presently lives away and have not been able to utilised my profession where I am now because of the vast difference in the students discipline. Best wishes and enjoy living in beautiful Philippines.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

I'm a Filipino who graduated high school from a small sleepy little town of Dinagat Island, the very rare end of the Philippines going out to the Pacific Ocean. I was nobody in school because I was shy and nervous the whole time. But when I reached 16 years old somehow I grew up to be smart and lost my shyness. I held my head up and fought for what's right. But many achievers are in the Public School especially in subject in math and English , teaching is more profound, and public teachers has enough experiences teaching in private before working in public schools and that’s why teachers in public schools are more experienced
Technical skills maybe is good in USA, but in Philippines..technical teaching can only be find in private schools. However, the good thing in Philippines curriculum even in government schools is that SKA are incorporated in all subjects! This values are brought with them until they work, harworker, patient, trustworthy etc..!
I totally understand this giy talking ..Its theysame here in Austria -Europe.. Even thier family are having no time each other ,some of family like nomore time to see each other..Just work, sleep ate..and same routine..But the Filipino living happily together and happy see each other.

Education in the Philippines is good. I remember during my elementary days we are taught how to memorize multiplication and study history of other countries. Maybe asian countries curriculum are different from other countries. Asian schools are more stricker
I like your analogies and analyses between two educational systems. Personally, I think Philippine education teaches the kid how to understand simple stuff first then teachers go to complex and complicated stuff. It’s easier to follow. I feel like the teachers in the US will throw the students books and other resources leaving the student to find ways or help from parents and others to understand concepts on hand. It all depends too on how the student if able to grasp the concepts easily and fast regardless of which among the two systems the student is exposed to growing up. The kid or child must have built strong critical thinking at young age to be able to survive in both educational systems with flying colors.
one main reason that I see the destruction of family structures in the United States is "easy" divorce.....which is good if done in a stringent way, but if done for mere convenience, it gives a lousy repercussion to the basic family unit in society, and that is the affected families children. In the PH, there is "legal separation," but mostly can be done when the people involved have money to burn to dissuade bad intentions if they belong to the middle class or low level in society. if the US only had made it hard to file a divorce, it would not resulted in a breakdown as we see it today; so sad; thanks very much, Captain Trucker, for this wonderful upload; keep it coming.

Yes, and we are grateful to USA for sending over the "Thomasites" teachers who embarked from the port of San Antonio Texas to pioneer public school system in the Philippines.❤❤❤❤
i agree with you am not against with the kids in america thats your culture ,but a lot of difference child here is most 😢resfectful you can bring your kids in private school sorry but irs true sone kids there yelling thier parents which is big no for me
how bout home schooling? also teach and impart responsibility, confident communication and belief in oneself. its core fundamentals lacking these days.
homeschooling is situational imo, letting your kid experiencing school life with same age classmates/schoolmates maybe good for kids. it can build their confidence in socializing

Filipino students excel equally with their international counterparts in SE Asia and/ or East Asia. To contribute to the economy, Pinoy students need to explore technical and vocational schools where the Americans are good at. Another thing, Americans are known for their entrepreneurial spirit which Filipinos are trying to emulate. In general, I'd emphasize that there are areas, both good and those needing improvisation in both American and Philippine educational systems. Personally, i had American teachers, both priests, former soldiers - have common sense and humble but proud of their countries of origin - source of good subjects like mathematics and psychology. Our countries are Imperfect, but for myself, Philippines is the only country i've got; I love it. Take each day as it comes - meaning, learn everyday.

No school mass shootings
Btw So Many Pilipino teachers were in America and in some other foreign countries.Even in the Middle East 🌍🇵🇭🙏🏻✨✨✨
Here in the Philippines, at least, there are no mass shooting inside school campus here.
Correct
Phillipine teachers are now teaching American kids.
Is that ironic?
The Thomasites would be proud and sad at the same time
why not???😅😊

thats really true
I think the values that is being taught to the children are very much different.
Private catholic schools are better and not very expensive especially in the provinces
University of St. La Salle Bacolod City is pretty cool. I'm biased, cuz I went to school there for 9 years before going to the US
Good to know and hear that... Thanks!

Hello 👋
Good decision.
He will never be bullied and his problem only will be how to manage the attention he will be getting 😂
People in my family were not the type to get "bullied" wherever culture or country they went to school in.
Hello captain good morning...
Good morning to you there 🌅
Yes ,I agree they think they're smarter than you. Depth free for the kid if they study in the Philippines.
