The cabins remind me of that episode of the simpsons where the town tried to re build ned Flanders house and it looked worse than the previous one
I've said this before but It bares repeating, the new cabins look like county park public restrooms.
R.I.P Wilderness cabins
There are plenty of ways to have a "modern rustic" cabin, yet Disney went with none of them. My parents' cabin was basically a kit they had built on their land, and it looks fantastic and still has all the modern amenities. Disney could have done that, added some Humphrey the Bear and Park Ranger easter eggs, and voila.
Those cabins are horrendous. The old style cabins fitted the theme perfectly and were a lovely place to stay. These new cabins are so generic that they could be anywhere in the world. They look like the summer house my friend has just installed in her garden. The only problem with that is we live in the North West of the UK, nowhere near a wilderness or the USA. What is going on with Disney? It's one bad decision after another.
Sad that Fort Wilderness looks more modern than Tomorrowland.
i guess we should be thankful they didn't just Tron-ize it like they did Test Track ...

As a Louisiana resident, this comment almost made me spit out my coffee! 😂 You could not be more correct, they are awful. DVC is a cancer. Everything it touches gets ruined, the Poly, the Disneyland Hotel and now this. Why can’t they just do it like they did at Animal Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge instead of this Hilton looking crap?

As a DVC member, never really had plans to visit Fort Wilderness. The new “cabins” have not swayed me. They remind me more of the efficiency housing that they build in urban areas, what about that says “wilderness”?
The new cabins look UGLY. Why would they do this!? It’s called Fort Wilderness for a reason, to LOOK like the WILDERNESS! The log cabins are proof that it’s supposed to be a western theme! This is just so barbaric.

Maybe I’m missing something, but they’re not complete? They won’t be green on the outside. The green is insulation/building wrap called ZIP system. The outside could very well still have log cabin look?

Oh my goodness what are they doing? There’s no theming in the new cabins. They look like prefab motel cabins. They’ll be asking $1,000 a night for these boring rooms.

I was just at Disney and the pins for the cabins at DVC kiosks are nice but other than that I hate the cabins

Any possibility of fireworks returning to the perimeters for the 4th of July or Fantasy in the Sky shows? After they removed most of the fireworks around the Magic Kingdom, which provided the incredible 360° view, the show became less appealing.
Really disappointed in new "cabins". They're ADUs marketed as cabins. I'm all for the tiny house movement but not as an expensive stay at WDW.

I believe it is the obligatory response to the first sight of the exquisitely inappropriate Modern Tiny Homes where here-to-for Log Cabin type domiciles have been situated. It is quite the act of Barbarity! (See above^) No explanation necessary!
Nothing against the WDW NT guys that dvc rental is not cheap!!! The animal kingdom house for one night ….$2,030!!!!! You can get a room for underb$500 they are nuts

Is it me or have the lounge fly’s gone up in price
My theory is they used Splash Mountain the most popular ride for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure because otherwise there wouldn’t be enough interest in just another dark ride for Tiana. It’s just not a Disney classic. And losing the Briar patch to Ray’s Berets? Who’s Ray? Does anyone know? Disney has lost it.

Replacing Splash Mountain with a so-so movie theme was not a popular move for Disney. There were a lot of angry Solash Mountsin fans. Btw I never saw the movie.

@troymacdonald8257 fort wilderness provides access to outdoor activities not even related to the theme parks. Much like a cross country trip.

I think the cabins look good. Nice modern, clean.
In any other setting, they might be OK, I guess. Personally I don't go to a place called "Fort Wilderness" if I want something that has a "modern" aesthetic.
The Loungefly bags are becoming overrated and over priced - they are now cheaply made. I miss the Harvey line - they were all made in California and very well made.
Those cabins are a joke - they do not fit in - it is Fort Wilderness - not Fort Urban Area. They are shipping containers - ZERO shade on the "porch". I guess they forgot about the Florida sun.
Most there parks will not publicly display ride camera captures due to inappropriate photos.

the cat ears literally use the same artwork that I had on the tumbler I bought in 2021... Disney's gone so cheap they're reusing patterns on merch? Along with just making clones of rides at every park they can, what's next, reusing animation sequen.... oh wait... 🤣Why do we follow this company again? 🤔😵💫

I love the new cabins, it needed to be done, if it where for some people Disney would be stuck in the past and be a very outdated place that nobody would visit anymore.
I would have been fine with them replacing the old cabins with new ones if they even remotely fit the theme or the aesthetic, or if they had any kind of charm at all instead of being generic and soulless. There's a lot of room to compromise between "stuck in the past" and "slap any old random thing together just so we have an excuse to charge more."

Just had a great stay at the old cabins last week. I liked the look of the new Cabins and will definitely be booking those. No nostalgia here. Just give me a golf cart.
