I got it for $10 couple weeks ago, and it`s actually really great and enjoyable to work with. I have a big desoldering station too, but it`s such a hassle to run and clean it just for a quick desoldering of a few pins, this one`s perfect.
It's the best affordable desoldering tool I have ever used,I never wanna return to traditional desoldering Pump that's keep on breaking, it's already been costing me thousands of Philippine Pesos to keep buying Cheap Desolder Pump. I'm glad someone innovate the 2 existing invention and combine it in to one,Next I will buy is the Desoldering Station, it's expensive buy I wanna have one
I have one, a defect that I noticed is that the hot tip wears out with the constant friction with the pins when you unsolder it, the solution I bought a kit of 10 pieces of replacement tips, this way at least I have more time of use and I also I noticed that the suction sometimes loses strength
You can clean the tip just like a regular soldering iron using a damp sponge or brass wool. For the solder it sucks up, simply remove the plastic chamber and empty out the debris.
If you add new solder on, it helps the old solder melt as well. I used low heat solder on top of the solder in the PS5 controller to remove the analog joystick.

Make sure your desoldering tool is warmed up enough before using it by letting it heat up for at least 3 minutes. When using the tool on the solder point, you should notice the solder iron around the tip melting. Keep the tool at a 90-degree angle with the flat side of the tip against the PCB before pressing the spring button. If needed, you can also try using soldering flux, but in my case, it's not necessary. I hope this helps!

It works great. I'm on my second one those as the first one stopped working. This one is acting up after 5 weeks.

Impressive CGI! The solder just vanished in one try! I wish mine would work half as good as that.
You've clearly never used a desoldering pump. It's spring loaded and sucks up the solder in a fraction of a second.
