Anthony Decarolis they don’t have to like it. It’s just they underestimate the talent these artists have. And instead of listening to the meaning of it they just pay attention to the explicit stuff. The flow, style, and wordplay these artists have is countless and amazing. But they don’t pay attention to it. And they like to say their music is better when it just talks about the same shit over and over. Their music hasn’t progressed any. That’s why it’s called 50’s and 60’s music. Because it was a part of that decade and it never progressed. They just made new genres. The only genres that progressed any were Rock and Country. But even those didn’t change and venture as far as Rap did. Rap is by far the most open minded, creative, talented type of music, yet people like to call it vulgar and say they don’t understand anything. It’s ok not to like it but when you bring it down even tho it’s more superior to other genres, like the ones they like, it’s not factual. They don’t have to like it from a personal level, but when they talk about it on a public and general level and say some negative shit about it that isnt even true it gets me frustrated. Cuz they were taught and even just learned to hate it, and ofc there’s the stereotypes that people say. Which also aren’t even true. But that’s just my opinion. It’s not like it’s gonna change anything, but that’s the point I’m trynna get through to you.
Honestly, this defeats the purpose without giving them subtitles. I guarantee that being able to understand what he is saying would change the results 100% with the exception of the man at 3:00. He knows what's up.

ikr
well a few of them did say that they couldn't follow what he was saying
Exactly. Kendricks music is about meaning and messages. And if you understand the message than the video is easier to understand.
They wanna ask why it’s so explicit. Because life isn’t always clean. As they say, “art portrays life, and life portrays art”.
Why didn't y'all tell the meaning of the song like King Kunta about Kunta kenta or about how drinking controls you and it's about his family
2:14 this woman is always the cutest in elders react
yes i love that woman.
I feel like they were stereo typo him just because it's was rap music
right
exactly
my guy David definitely listened to every Kendrick album and song after this
Can you please do a lyric breakdown for, essentially, ANY of his songs. The words are the must important part and exactly what makes Kendrick so unique.
They did a lyric breakdown for how much a dollar cost
+DisembodiedVoiceOfReason they already did
exactly
Elders react to JOEYBADA$$!!

6:27 "they got jails.. when did we ever get away from that" lol. thats the point. how can we 'talk about progressing' when it barely seems like there's progress at all.
Elders react to Kanye West's "Famous" video.
Lmaooooo

they'll appreciate the genius
LOL YAS

Since they can't understand what Kendrick is saying then have them react to panda by designed lol but I would like for them to redo this video.

*designer*
+Andrew Doe IKR that would be too funny
+Neba Carole desiigner*
the person complaining about the prison aesthetic of the show.. maybe if you listened to kendrick you'd consider the importance of the prison aesthetic and how it correlates to this time
This makes me hate the boomers even more lol
Hey man it's to each their own, you can't force old people to like something you like
Heyyyyy I'm in my 60s and I LOVE Kendrick, esp that Grammy performance! That was the ish! www.theverge.com/2016/2/15/11004624/grammys-2016-watch-kendrick-lamar-perform-alright-the-blacker-the-berry
@histroy very much
Right
The things he raps about is more that just "regular rap"
They just dont understand at all 😔
Manee and i expected her to actually know something about him but ig not
Theus elders react to Y.G. from the west side
Yep
Rap ain't for everybody
+Somaya Ahmed you're right
Honestly, this defeats the purpose without giving them subtitles. I guarantee that being able to understand what he is saying would change the results 100% with the exception of the man at 3:00. He knows what's up.
"Its typical rap." This is exactly the probelm with the perspective they have.
2:59 the only guy who really listened to the song
Underwhelming video. They barely talked about or listened to his lyrics.
Not like you can really make out most of the words, tho.
+David Dalton i can...easily lol
they couldnt understand what he was even saying
+jesse they did that in another video.
