The Barnardos advert had nothing to do with dyslexia or drugs, it was about the lifelong consequences of child abuse with this ad being an example of what many have been through. Unfortunately this happens all over the world. I can’t believe people would complain about something that needs to be so clearly highlighted. Shame on those who made the complaints.
Me neither. Most of them sort of tell you what the adverts complaints were too so you can work out why it is controversial and what the message is. Like with the Marie stopes one saying that the complaints were that it promotes abortion. It’s pretty clear then what the advert is

It seems ridiculous to me as someone in the UK, that a few hundred or even a couple of thousand complaints is enough to get an advert taken off the air. There are something like 26 million households in the UK, with a population of about 68 million. If you say there were 2,000 complaints, that represents just 0.0077 percent of households. And that is for the most complained about advert!
They never wanted to ban aerosols. It's the chemicals used in most spray's, namely fluorocarbon's also knows as CFC. That was because it was harming the ozone layer. CFC's were banned and are still banned. Aerosols now use other gases.

The CO2 ad is about making you think about the World around you and the consequences of your day to day actions. It is never intended to say you must do this or must do that. It's making you engage in a subject that is going to be around for a long time, hence telling the story to a child and will be living through it throughout her life. Your reaction, may I say, is what I would typically expect from an American. Laughing at it, not looking beyond the message and also trying to work out what I should go and buy to make it better. Also all through the Barnado's ad and this he seems to be expecting a happy joyful time with the broad smile. Some advertisement's are about serious subjects and try to make you think about the subject of the ad, not what to buy.
Exactly as it was shown before nine pm, during their programmes. It's an adult political theme, not for children as young as four to eleven to watch. Plus, it is misleading, that the UK , who is responsible for one percent of carbon production in the world, won't make a difference to the world's carbon. Hence the complaints of misleading information.
The US was one of the few countries that refused to join the agreement for less factory / industry pollution. While billions of households can make a difference (public transport/car pooling, turning lights off when not in the room, only heating or cooling necessary areas etc) businesses definitely need to do more and governments like the US and China need to control them with sanctions and laws. Abortion contraception is not an issue in the uk. It’s a woman’s choice and not impacted by other people deciding for them, so not controversial. The controversy was not promoting safe sex first especially for issues such as aids.

Same as the mobile deals with the scary horror girl, the complaints were, it gives my six year old nightmares as it is on mornings and afternoons. The co2 advent bedtime story again shown all day, misleading and frightening were the complaints as the uk contributes one percent of the of the worlds co2 . These UK adverts would have been shown before nine pm at night. So small children would have seen them after or between children's shows. Hence the complaints, of the dogs breath one, it scared my children, dog coming out of the man's mouth. The violent golf advert not after the watershed, which is after nine pm.
So not heating yr home or using yr car will not make a difference to the world. Hence misleading information and shown during childrens programmes.
To an adult they are nothing but to a child under eleven, scary hence the complaints. These adverts were shown before the watershed, before nine pm.
In the the UK, after the watershed, after 9pm, it's adult programmes and adverts shown. If you let your child watch after nine pm then you cannot complain, as it's the parent's responsibility to have their child stop watching after nine.
