Can am makes really nice flushers. I've got a 3 inch with the gold skides and wheels. It glides really well. It's great for cleaning the tapes. But for finishing angles, ultimately the corner finisher is the best tool

Jerry D I just picked up the 3 widetrack and it’s awesome does almost the same as 3 1/2 Columbia angle head at half the cost

A compound tube is probably the most versatile tool you can use. It is the best for smaller jobs as it is very simple and quick to clean. I use the flat and corner applicators and they are a dream over hand taping. The flushers you have are standard flushers, mud does not pass through those. But the tubes you can always find a use for. I even use it to water our hanging plants instead of dragging the hose around the house lol

Joel Bartley the compound tube is a great way to go, easy clean and almost un breakable, great for water fights in the summer heat lol!

I never used flushers before last year and I been a drywall finisher for 20 years. You are a great teacher man. Thanks for the videos.

Hi Ray I have been tapping for 26 years in London Ontario. I switched from the drywall master angle heads for about 8 years now to that cam am ones . I use the one head where the mud comes out in the middle not the one with the pin hole at the bottom. I don't even bother with flushing after I roll them I pump them right away with the tube . I'm so happy to say you are the only tapper I have ran into that is pretty much the same steps as me the only difference is you use the mud runner . I seen one in our store about 18 years ago and didn't bother with it . Silly me now I would love to try one cause they are effortless. The difference between the two heads is you push the cam am and pull the drywall master. Buy the way don't even try the little adapter to apply the mud to many steps from putting down and picking up tools switch this to that and that to this . Man just like you I could go on and on for years talk about the trade and the tools.

Did you see the new mudrunner by DeWalt? It looks awesome

Yes I did it works like the 7 inch angle box by pressure not a twist handle like the mud runner I believe. I am vertically challenged at 5,9 and to twist a handle it seams that it would be easier. But hey if i come across one i forsure would give it a go absolutely

Small jobs. 1st step banjo tape flush corners with 2-1/2. Second and final compound tube with direct 3-1/2 flusher. Done. I hated angles before now I love them. Super fun easy money.

I have the can am tools...they are very simple to use. less complicated than say heads you showed and the columbia brand here in canada. I am going to be getting the mud runner and will use this to apply compound in corners and flats using my existing applicator heads. I like the idea of being able to twist and go because I am 64 and working the compound tubes is really a young mans sport. I can do it but I am sweating like crazy when I am done. I watched you flush corners with the mud runner and the fact that you are not pushing like you would have to with a corner box is amazing.

Enjoy the can am flushers! They are great! You will be able to get right into the corners for your finish and have very little touch ups guaranteed! They are magical, so easy ! I’m sure as long as the ball fits your mud runner, it will work as well as a compound tube. The cost is 1/3 of angle heads.

Hi Doc, I'm wondering if you have ever heard of a 'Super Taper'? Several companies make them.... its a tool that hooks onto a bucket of mud that is ready to use. it holds a roll of tape and basically puts mud on the tape for you as you pull the tape out that you need (kind of like a hopper). Search Columbia Super Taper on youtube and tell me what you think. Also, wondered what you thought of the Can Am Tools in your other video. Thanks for all the great videos and mentoring. Kind Regards. Greg Goforth , Ottawa Ontario Canada

Ray the only problem those flusher's have is the 90 degree corner wear's thin and will crack . Some fast then others so that's when you get a new one . In london we call them throw away or spoon flusher's and you pump them up with the pump . Yes I have a gorilla arm lol I'm not down on flipping the Bazooka up side down just to pump it up time is money it does add up . But to each there own.

Yeah, they work once you get mud into the corner with a compound tube, but you can’t force mud through it.
