    The earth is 70% water. Technology to filter salt water using reverse osmosis is also ages old. I remember learning it in school. All of these problems are important but they can be solved. The avg time taken in shower also uses a bucket to bucket and half of water, we need to be conservative yes but lets not blame people, this isnt their job. The government needs to be handking this better, make rain water harvesting infra, more lakes and dams in barren areas and so many solutions are possible if the government thinks and hires private experts to build it. Also mandate industries to treat and recycle their water waste they are the major water waste causing entities. Reverse osmosis like expensive a lot more expensive than you think the brine that come put of it is highly toxic to the waters and soil too. We need better tech for that. But India do not need reverse osmosis they have mansoon rains so if the soil can hold water you will have any water you need. And tgey know this too so every year in rural areas they hold a competition of building water holding structure called "Johads" between villages. The results are visible from satelites. Some enviromentalist groups also incorporate permaculture with it so families also can feed off of it. It is cheap good to the enviroment and soil lastly does not need high tech. We should stop relying on advanced tech so much and incorporate new tech with known technics since costs ,material usage and electricity usage is important especially for third and sexond world countries

      I met the couple who invented reverse osmosis. (Their house was *very* nice. :-) It's not "ages" old. But it's certainly old enough that if you have polluted water around, you can make it drinkable for fairly cheap. But if you live in the middle of a dust-bowl desert, filtering the water isn't going to be especially helpful.

      Yah many researches showed that shower wastes a lot more water than regular budget bath, the content of bathing in shower results in more water than content of bathing in a bucket. Also since in childhood we are used to bath with limited water and hence the bucket of water creates a sense of belief that the water is limited hence try to manage your bathing in that .

    • @Himanshu_Khichar
      @Himanshu_Khichar 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +21

      I don't understand how water saved by taking a shorter shower is going to "quench the thirst of the villagers". Are they going to transport that water to the suffering villages? This is the exact logical question that comes to the mind. These ad makers are just making you guilty for using the basic facility of having a proper and enjoyable modest shower by contrasting it with the water shortage problems faced by a remote dry village. Why should city people be guilty for their ordeal unless we don't take extravagant and unnecessarily long showers? These hypocrite ad makers and the company owners will definitely not start to have shorter showers after making this ad. There is enough water to drink for everyone, there isn't a problem of water shortage but of water mismanagement.

    • @Himanshu_Khichar
      @Himanshu_Khichar 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@vamsikrishnakoviYou would still need to transport that water to these remote villages. That would still have to be done through tractor tanks. Unless you create pipelines from the dams or whatever municipal water source, you can't solve the water crisis in these villages. The problem isn't about lack of water but it's management. You can continue to feel guilty about taking a modest shower and stop taking shower and think that this will somehow help the villagers but it won't.
      You know I have a better idea. You know how much water is wasted by flushing the solid wastes in the toilet? How about city dwellers defecate in the open to preserve water that's wasted in flushing? That would save enormous amount of water for water thirsty villages.

Problem is water management, 90% of river water goes untapped into the sea. Govts needs to setup water distribution till the last of the village in all remote areas, including deserts, mountains, islands. I agree we need to save water in shovers/flushes/car washes, but how will that water reaches to the village is more important question.

    Please note that not all shower baths waste water, in fact, normal showers take approximately same amount of time which takes to fill a pail of water, therefore, same or even lesser amount of water

    This attempt at being profound ignores all logic and common sense. Cities are established close to natural resources thats why they have seemingly endless supply of ground and fresh water. And even if all that water was saved in the city, is it going to be supplied to the villages 100s of km away? What a ridiculous notion. City dwellers need not feel any guilt due lack of water in the the villages.

    This is the real condition of India. Poor are becoming poorer whoever rules the country. Big Corporates are really ruling the country.
    North India is so underdeveloped because rulers using them as vote banks and development projects are carried out in a slower pace. So north indians migrate to tamilnadu and kerala for better standard of life. As most of these north Indians do not follow rules while travelling in trains and buses and occupy reserved compartments, south Indians generally hate them for their odd behaviour in the public.
