I have the Spigen thin fit. It's amazing and I have zero complaints. It's actually the gripiest phone case that I have due to the matte finish it feels so good in the hand.

What a refreshing change to see a "proper" review, not just some affiliate chasing clowns with Amazon links to products that they've never seen. Not even a text-to-voice engine in sight! Good stuff.

Now using Spigen LAA on Pixel 7!

My favorite case is the Kevlar case by Latercase. It is very thin and has a nice grippy texture. I think it's something like 0.6mm thin. It's crazy when the phone manufactures go to all these lengths to make a thin phone and then everyone slaps on a thick case. With the Latercase I still get that svelte feel when holding the Pixel 7.

I have the Peak design case on my P7 Pro, it's pretty much brings MagSafe to the Pixel, meaning I can use the excellent matching Peak Design Mobile Wallet. It holds up to 7 cards and can also be used as a phone stand, really handy.

If we are speaking about design, the best case is Google's official case in my opinion. But for me the 1 major issue with the official case is the material. It's very slippery. Every time I pool out pixel 7 from my pocket i hold it with both hands because I'm afraid that it's gonna fall off...

  • @newfnshow031

purchased the Google case for my 6 and it warped in 4 months so I got a matte transparent case from Amazon for $10. Had no issue but also I never drop my phone.

The official case for the Pixel 7 is awesome, I love the feel in my hand. Unfortunately though, my lemongrass case looks dirty as it has picked up some black stains from being in my pocket, i guess the material of my pants transferred onto the case somehow, and i've tried everything to clean it off but to no avail. I found this video to see what other options there are, I went for the Ringke Onyx case. Wow, it's amazing and it gives your phone a more boxy feel, and the camera bar is covered too. Luckily with it being in black, it shouldn't stain :')

No love for the leather cases from Bellroy? I think mine are great and the way some of them patina over time to me is a plus. Have dropped mine from small heights a few times and haven't had an issue yet... Yet. 🙂

Any reason why the Tech21 product was omitted? Been using their cases for years and they have been great.

    • @archangel115
      @archangel115 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I was wondering the same thing. Tech21s offer outstanding phone protection which is really the main purpose of a case 🤷🏾‍♂️. I've literally dropped mine from staircases stumping all the way down and when I check the phone it's like it never happened.

So I bought the Lemon Grass case for my Pixel 7 but have replaced it with the Spigen Rugged Armor case £16.99 Amazon as I get far better purchase on the Spigen compared to the slightly slippery Google case.

The Pixel 7 is an amazing (and amazing value) phone that handles beautifully, looks great... and that is nearly ruined by the janky fingerprint sensor (I miss the 4's face unlock dearly). One good thing about the 7 lineup however is how much Google improved the official cases from last year. These one's feel really, really good. I can also recommend the Rhinoshield ones as a great alternative with a cool textured feel.

    • @PaulHeester

I love the look of the official Google case, but man is it slippery. In certain conditions it feels like it would just fly out of your hands.
Sometimes cases like those take a while to break in, so maybe it's good after a while, but I stopped using it because I was afraid I was going to drop it every time I grabbed it.

  • @CecilMathew

I'm curious about the official case. You're saying it's not a good idea to, for example, buy an obsidian phone and a black case? Or vice versa? Is that because the color of the phone body leaks through the case somewhere?

I have a peak design case and the fabric on mine seems black, while his seems more grey. I'm not sure if it's just the lighting in the video that makes it appear that way, or if there is variance in the color

I bought a Google case but it is far too slippy in the hand for my liking. Mystery why Google couldn't have put a grippy strip down the two sides. Best way to protect your phone is not to drop it, so I'll be looking for a replacement soon.

  • @geemy9675

official case has protected the phone well from numerous falls but doesn't feel nice and is too slippery constantly falls from sweater shorts/pants when sitting . I prefered the P7 one that turned yellow over time but Google refunded without return based on picture...
might go third party for the P8

I have the spigen rugged armor and the ringke clear for my 7 pro. I like the rinke better, the spigen doesn't look like it has as much protection. It's pretty thin, and the rinke has bigger raised lips

Idk why you said that spigen thin cover lacks grip because I found it more gripping than the pixel 7 official Google case. I've 5 cases and the official one is the most slippery. In fact that's the reason I don't use it anymore.

Google's official cases are the worst of the lot.
Bought one with my non-Pro Pixel 6 last year. It started deforming & didn't even provide adequate drop protection in 6 months - which lead to screen damage when I dropped it 🤦

Loving my official Google Pixel 7 Pro case in Hazel. (The gold accents really compliment my Hazel / Gold coloured Pixel 7 Pro👌)
Feels great in the hand and compliments the already great design. It feels a part of the phone and not an extension of it.
Plus polycarbonate design this year is much better. 👍👍

Which one is most durable? I drop my phone at least twice a week :( I do care about the look and material but it's more important, not to break it on the first day. Although the case for protection, unfortunately, I had a bad experience in the past. So, can someone help me?

  • @saadrabia

One case to rule them all: Latercase. It is the thinnest case ever and It provides just the right amount of protection for the corners and back with a very good grip while keeping your phone profile as thin as it was intended to be. It also nicely preserves the edge swiping of all curved display phones without any intrusion.
I've used it on a OnePlus 7T, 10 Pro, Galaxy S22 Plus, and currently on my Pixel 7 Pro, and it did perfectly well on all these phones through the years. My wife wasn't convinced until she tried the case and can't go back anymore to the old bulky cases she previously used. Almost all my friends have switched as well.

I bought the P7P original cover with the device and don't like it at all, dreadful surface resistance it just feels cheap and slippery.
I fell back on my go to manufacturer after 3 days (Spigen) and threw the Google cover in the glove compartment of my car, next stop will likely be the bin.
I have very little good to say about the P7P, the cover quality and design confirmed my conclusion.
Don't waste money on Google's mobile devices.

I just bought a Pixel 7 after trading in a Pixel 5 that was starting to separate from itself. I was able to get $300 for it.
I picked up the official black Pixel 7 case. I like that it has the "G" on the back and it seems like it matches the style of the phone pretty well, and is not too bulky.
I also bought the Spigen Tough Armor, so I could put a metal plate in between the two parts of it, so I could magnetically attach it to my wireless charging car mount. It works perfectly. It holds the phone and charges, and you can't tell that there is any metal on the case, nor is there any metal scrapping against the back of the phone.
