One change i would have made would have been to use real photos during the camp scene. It wouldn't have saved the game or anything but i feel like it would have made that moment hit a lot more and pull the player out in a good way where you remember this isn't fiction and actually happened
This campaign was so ass. lol you gotta love this era of games with weird QTEs XD i sort of liked the multiplayer. awesome vid though man! love the in depth explanation!
Oh the QTEs felt like a blast from the past. I hadn't seen any of the sort in so long that it threw me off when I was randomly clicking buttons during a cutscene lol.
The campaign is stale but not gameplay wise, the story just doesn't build the characters like past COD games, like that girl, only appearing once and then poof, gone from the story. The lack of more character backstory just isn't enough.
Actually, I completely agree. The gameplay is what really keeps it entertaining because you're constantly moving forward and constantly in the action. I felt like Zussman kind of gets that character growth treatment (maybe Turner & Pierson a bit too), but I get what you mean. There is a lot of characters in the game but none of them really stand out because of how they're written. There's that part where you're playing as Rousseau and she just starts spouting random stuff when she's killing that dude and it's like: this could've probably not been in the game. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the mission itself is bad, it's just the extra story doesn't really fit in the overarching narrative for someone who doesn't show up again after that.
@RistoTheAristo totally agree. The variety on the missions also kept it fresh. Still, i enjoyed it for what it is since i love WW2 history, that opening D-Day mission always gets me.
I thought it was okay, not the best WW2 campaign I have ever played, still 1000x better than Vantard tho 😂😂. Still doesn't compare to WaW or some MoH games. The MP is fun though, underrated for sure.
Oh yeah when you compare it to World at War it is disappointing, but when you compare it to Vanguard it's like: well, it's better than that at least lol
2017 being so long ago is wild because i can remember the drama surrounding this game like it was yesterday
It's such a weird mediocre game but if you play Vanguard and then go back to it - WOW

I think that would've been a good idea too, especially with the theme they were going for at that specific point so it would've made a lot of sense.

Been playing this game on Disc version on PS4 and I'm enjoying it more than current COD. Reaching Master Prestige lvl 130 as of today.

Oh same here. That introduction is great!
