  • This 1970 Challenger RT Vanishing Point Build was built from the AMT kit but with a few improvements. Mainly changing out the engine for the one in the AMT 1971 Charger RT. That way I could build it as a 440 Magnum with A/C.

White paint, as you point out, isn't always "white". When my Dad painted his white Ford van, his Toyota 4X4 pickup truck and later my 1975 Firebird, he didn't like "bright white", as it just wasn't "right". He mixed a pint of Almond into a gallon of White, and it took the sharpness off, looked much better.

    • @TheMuscleCarModeler

It’s funny how white isn’t truly white. Same with red. Actual red pigment is more of an orange red. What is considered bright red has some black and blue it.

I like the movie remake better than the original, which is rare for me because i usually like the original movie's. Pretty cool to see 👍😎

The Iconic Bond DB5 almost didn’t appear. They were offered other cars but the producers wanted that car. Austin Martin told them that if they wanted one, they had to buy it like everyone one else. From what I read the 383 car was green all the other were white, the reference to supercharging was a cop speculating about the car. A cool car to do speaking of Challengers would be a 1972 convertible that was done for The Mod Squad it was 1 of 2 because the convertible was dropped at the end of 71 but they were getting cars ready for the 72 season of The Mod Squad. Basically they took a 1971 340 convertible and put a 72 nose and tail treatment on it. Finished in classic Gold Metallic with beautiful matching interior and Black convertible top. I guess sort of like the Barracuda for Nash Bridges there was a combination of 70 cars converted to be 71 as well as real 71 cars also convertibles.
