Yoshihiro Takayama has paralysis from the neck down due to a pro wrestling injury. Just a sad sad story overall, but his fight with Don Frye was something else. A must watch
Yeah and to bring the mood back up a bit, Don Frye's a real one for paying respect to him. Seen a clip of them somewhere reminiscing, that was pretty cool
His fight against Don Frye was so emblematic that they had them re-do it for the 2005 Japanese movie called *Nagurimono* (Sakuraba and Rampage Jackson also had a re-do or their PRIDE fight, and Wanderlei Silva got to beat up a small Japanese actor, Mitsuki Koga).
It was a short stint, but Kris Moutinho has gotta be an honorable mention. His short UFC career had to have more punches absorbed than some veterans across the UFC
I still remember that fight against Sean O’Malley. O’Malley literally said his hands hurt bad after that fight because of all the times he had to hit Kris 😱
I think O'Malley broke some sort of record that night? Most punches landed or something? And he has a little knockout power.. I thought both performances were impressive 😅
I know rite... When, I watched justin vs Tony.. I was squirming in my seat.. there, was no audience, so, every shot you heard and boy did gaethje hit him hard man it sounded like a gun shot every time he landed.. but, tony remember kicks telephone poles like breaking his students arm.. I think that fight was the end of tony it's sad seeing him loose 5 fights in a row and is still trying to fight.. it's sad when you see a fighter fight past his prime and then you get a Frankie Edgar story and it's just sad... But, that uppercut tony landed almost out Justin completely out he was saved by the bell literally
Glover vs Smith was so damn hard to watch. I was screaming at Smith's corner to stop the fight like they could hear me through the tv. Worst one sided beat down I can think of off the top of my head
@mztokyo7630 when you watch it, you get a better appreciation for the natural combat skills of Brown. He places his palm over Diego's face so he can't see it coming and as soon as he's in the proper range BOOM. They don't teach you that sort of trickery in any MMA academy as far as I know

Butterbean didn't even land that big punch that was supposed to have KO'd him... And the Kimbo fight could have easily been stopped when James was wailing on him, and it was declared a KO by Dan Miragliotta after his cauliflower ear exploded, but he was still conscious and moving... As a JT fan, those 2 fights hurt pretty bad, because they weren't even beatings, just unfair.
I commented on that too . In his Arlovskei fight you could see Andrei shrug at the ref when he didn't stop the fight .
