I used to follow you back in 2015/16 when I was doing SL Econ and you helped me a lot. It feels like it was only yesterday that I was watching your videos but it's been 6+ years and I'm now getting a masters in Aerospace Eng (next year). Thank you for helping me.
random question - would you recommend aerospace engineering?
@@LouisGaming740nope. Worst decision I have ever made
No
Honestly every IB student redoing their IA's right now is so thankful for your help

ikr!!! he's awesome!!!
can msc mpc and mpb msb be replaced with supply and demand?
not for externalities
Thks
is your name dal?
Why is the socially optimum price below the original price for a negative externality in consumption? Surely a higher price would disincentivise the consumption of the good therefore reducing external costs to society
exactly my doubt
@@ayushhongkongI think he might have drawn the price of the socially optimum wrong. At Q* instead of reading the price from the new equilibrium you keep going up until you reach the MPB curve and draw the price from there.
Shouldn't the MSC be Labelled on the right curve instead of the one to the left since it's greater?
@@iqraahmed7083 I think because you read of the cost/ benefit line so it has to be to the left to be higher
you are a god
godly
If MSC is greater than MPC why is it more inwards than the MPC? Wouldn't that mean that MPC>MSC?
No, at the same quantity the social costs are higher than the private costs. Therefore the curve is “shifted” upwards, not outwards.
