- Reaction To Kummeli - Pikku Henry (Finnish Comedy)
This is my reaction to Kummeli - Pikku Henry
In this video I react to Finnish comedy from Finnish television comedy sketch show Kummeli and their funny comedy sketch featuring a great character Little Henry.
Original Video - • Video
Tipi-tii was Finnish eurovision song 1962 by Marion Rung
Pikku Henry is a good representation of a lot of people on the internet.
Henry reminds a former Finnish theater director who humiliated the actors
Yes, he talks like Jouko Turkka imitating his way to talk 😂
So it's this guy: th-cam.com/video/WntP3pcM0rg/w-d-xo.html
We still sometimes use Henry's quotes at our workplace! :D
I like how he is still covered in snow when he goes to second victim so it didn't take long for him to get beaten up again. And all of those places are very close to next one.
Well the most important thing to know is that the character is a parody of the famous theaterman Jouko Turkka from Tampere. Its absolutely brilliant parody of it. With heavy Tampere accent.
I think that only talking style and attitude is from Turkka, who was the headmaster of Finland's Theatre Academy. This guy is a poor looser.
Pikkuhenri on sijainen turkalle, jota näyttelijät halus vetää pataan. Mut kukaan ei uskaltanu.
You should make a video for Kummeli-Aziz the combat fighter.
Best sketch ever!
Agreed. I'm surprised if it is still in youtube
they never do that.. but what about kummeli - tamppaajat? they need to stomp every bit of globe.. if you do it 3 times you are tampon or tampax
I think youtube doesn't like that video.
It's great to see you enjoying these Finnish classics! These sketches were part of the emotional tapestry of my youth, and it seems they still hold up to this day. Cheers for the good content, subbed!
That soldier wasn't general, he was "sotilasmestari" (sergeant major). Rank sits between "vänrikki" (2nd lieutenant) and "luutnantti" (lieutenant).
Nope.Sergeant major is highest NCO officer, and 2nd lieutenant is a first
link of CO officers.
Pääsit pätemään ❤ Eksä yhtään häpeä. Sun lapsetkin häpee sua
Juu, varsinkin tuo punasilmä, jonka kuvaa käytän profiilikuvana.
@stiffyupperlip1851: YES! Those two ranklist's overlap by one so that highest NCO is above lowest CO.
@@Carl_Gustav_Häyhä Ei ole enää pitkään aikaan sotilasmestari ollut vänrikkiä ylempi arvo fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sotilasmestari
Thanks again for a great reaction, I watch every single one you make!
The character we see here shares attitudes regarding "humiliation" and ways of communication and trying to dominate and discredit people, with a former theater director called Jouko Turkka. The actors who have commented the actor training done my Jouko Turkka later on, have at the very mildest said its was "a very tough school", and more straight forward ones have said it was honestly traumatizing and horrible.
I wouldn't be surprised if this particular skit series was some sort of a message/response to what would happen on the street if someone approached people with the attitudes that director used on his student, outside of the pressuring atmosphere of the theater school.
Might sound far-fetched, but having read up on what Turkka did and said, the extra focus on "humiliation" was so common it was immediately brought to my mind.
You probably already got the answer of the song - Marion Rung (16 yrs) representing Finland in ESC 1962 with "Tipitii". She returned, 1976 (or thereabout) placing 6th with "Tom Tom".
But when you visit Finland? These Kummeli sketches are mostly filmed in Tampere
Kummeli was really best TV-series ever :)
This also shows the typical tavastian disposition; If tavastian is offended, he will get angry with a delay, maybe not until tomorrow. Kummeli is from Tampere, in the heart of Tavastia (=Häme).
Correction onto my comment earlier: That soldier "sotilasmestari in English is military master, not sergeant major, which in Finnish is "vääpeli".
Everyone knows a Pikku-Henry. I certainly do. Luckily, at some point, they end up in the morgue.
Tipi-tii, a happy song about spring is supposed to humorically ignore the fact that he's getting beaten up and its not a happy situation
I've actually visited that spesific pub many times.
even funnier is that he doesn't say "you're just a pair of trousers" in the first, he says "you're just a trouser". which makes no sense
Have you seen when Conan O'Brien visited Finland? can be found here on TH-cam😂
I don't remember now who it was from the Kummel group of authors who once said that they only make humor that they themselves would laugh at.
If it doesn't make itself laugh, then it won't make anyone else laugh
I worked also on Qeen Elisabeth II. Round the world cruise! Caribian for two years and so on!!
You should see jackpot it is great movie by Kummeli. Unfortunately i dont think it has eng subs
My dvd has the english subtitles
This is a parody of Jouko Turkka. Find out.
Henry :D
Liked your reaction, Pikku Henry is one of best caracters for me too 😁
I said british huomor is also good! Black Books, The office , The league of Gentlemen?
Is Pikku Henry just Juhani Manninen gone bad?
Mert Fin You have the best & cutests comments here! 💕
You're humiliated yourself. Tipitii.
There are these hopeless people as Pikku Henry. 😂
Onko sumenkansalaisia linjoilla? Tää heppu on jotenkin ylikiinostunut suomalaisesta huumorista? Harmi ettei Pulkkista ole teksitetty englanniksi?
Eiköhän se ole ihan näyttökertojen takia. Suomalaisia kiinnostaa edelleen sairaalloisen paljon mitä ne muut meistä ajattelee.
Pulkkinen on kyl yks surkeimmista.
Määrittele ylikiinnostunut.
On Pulkkista ainakin pari sketsiä tekstitetty englanniksi. Löytyy kun kirjoittaa hakuun "Pulkkinen english"
Miten niin ylikiinnostunut? 😁 Ihan normaali reaktiokanava. Hänellä on muitakin kanavia, joissa reagoi sisältöön muista maista.
It's awful how some people lower themselves to violence. Here 'the real Henry', late theatre director and author Jouko Turkka tells how a certain popular TV host is like vomited chocolate, warm and sweet. and how some people eats it up: "Jouko Turkka lyttää Salmelaisen ja Pulkkisen". Turkka worked as a professor in Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki between 1981-1988. Students from that era are often referred as his students. Four of his students caused a scandal in 1987 when they performed a play, during which they emptied fire extinguishers into the theatre, threw fireworks around and feces, eggs and yogurt at the audience and on top whipped the audience-or at least tried. The play lasted two minutes, the audience run away, the fireworks set off the fixed fire-extinguishing system and the actors run away too and were caught later from the town by the police.
Maybe next time Video should be bigger, your face resolution smaller
Henry oli hiano miäs
This is funny because some Finns are just like that, especially on the internet. When somebody dares to do something in their life, these heroes crawl out to yell shame on you and that you should be ashamed and how the whole nation and basically the whole world is ashamed of you. Somebodies should really just relax a little...
