Bellissima casa e bellissimo arredamento. E' un vero onore ospitare americani così attenti alle usanze italiane e molto rispettosi dell'ambiente e tradizioni. Benvenuti in Italia amici!!!!! Grazie della vostra presenza.
Grazie! Ci piace la casa, veramente, ma non sapevamo come pensassero gli italiani, fuorché i vicini. Siamo felici sentire che ai molti piace nostra piccola casa!
A-Mazing!!! You could do an entire vid on keeping your pool site clean while you’re away…🤣. You two are quite awesome. Thinking man is computer tech big time. Gotta have bucks and smarts to do what you’ve done.
I like how you designed the house, well done! In India, where I currently live, the spray bidet is standard in every house. As an Italian I don't see the point of the usual Italian bidet. I wouldn't change a thing about the house you built, but I would add a workshop space, separate from the house, to use as a sculpture / art studio. I wonder if that would be possible with all the building restrictions and regulations.
Thanks! We like it a lot. You’re exactly right. There is a limit on how much you can build on a property based on what existed there before and we used all our space in the house. It would be nice to have that extra building.
I honestly don’t know exactly. The budget changed as we went and it’s been 9 years since we started building. Somewhere over €550K, I think. Land, house, pool, landscape.
Wow what a beautiful home you built and the views are spectacular! It really is a perfect size for welcoming family and friends! May I ask how many sq/f or sq/m your house is? I have not been to Le Marche yet but it is definitely on my list :)
Thanks! It’s a bit over 200 sq.m, so about 2200 sq.ft. Marche is rather unknown. It looks a lot like Tuscany but since it doesn’t have the cities and towns that draw crowds, it’s overshadowed by its neighbor to the west.
@@OurBigItalianAdventure Thank you for your reply. I think the fact that Marche is quieter and has less crowds is a bonus - at least for me anyway. It's great to go and visit the busier centres when you need or want to and then return to your peaceful home!
Thank you for sharing a video of your house with us. It is wonderful. I particularly love the stone! This is truly an enjoyable video for all of us who dream about doing what you have done! Grazie!
Congratulations on your beautiful project in Italy. I'm new to your channel and was wondering if you now live year-round in this gorgeous home in Italy. Also, where did you live previously in the states? And finally (for now) do you feel like your Italian neighbors have welcomed you with open arms?
We’re there just part time, which means 6 months or less, no more than 90 days at a time, and some other restrictions. We may try to get the visa and become residents, but we’re not sure. Everyone is very friendly, but it’s hard to really make good friends. Most people our age, in the US or Italy, aren’t looking for new friends. But as Americans we are a bit of a novelty. Most foreigners in our area are European. So we feel very comfortable.
@@OurBigItalianAdventure exactly! have you ever been in my area? i'll be glad if you wanna came to visit Romagna, and It would be a pleasure to show you the places to visit. and places to eat (i worked as a cook for 25 years). take care and have a nice evening, guys!

You are amazing and lovely people❤. I enjoy your videos and your work a lot! Do you have any concern of the Italian tax rate 26% of world assets an owner has? I heard that a woman bought a 25K house and is paying 8000/year tax.

DEFINITELY: in Italy the bidet is required by law!!!! It is important to understand that a device must be available to wash after to use the wc. In addition to daily shower. Also in case of......further "needs"😄😄😄 The hand shower is an exellent replacement by law.

Did you install a heat pump in the house?
No- we have a boiler and under floor radiant heating. Unfortunately no air conditioning!
very nice home in your opinion what do you value it at ?
Agree about the fire a pellet stove or wood burner is better and less mess, only a garage and nice gate are missing.
That’s a great question. I wish I knew. The market varies all the time.

Your lavender will do best when pruned back every year. Otherwise, they will get woody and leggy and not bloom as much.
