No loMama uyaphila. She's not fighting anyone, just making her sound points in a respectful manner. You could fight her just nje coz you want to, but she's so well spoken, exactly what we need.
This is undoubtedly a topic that warrants a part two. Mrs. Domingo continues to impress with her eloquence, depth, and well-rounded expertise in both Christian-based discussions and broader subjects. I’m eager to hear Pen’s insightful questions when we revisit this topic in the upcoming part two. Mrs D you are incredible ❤
You Pen this is the best guest you've had on the show! May I suggest that you ask sis'Thandi if she would come back to the show with her husband. So many gems to learn from!!!
I also said no to Lobola, however we have a hybrid type of a relationship where primarily we have gender roles, but because of the partnership nature of our relationship we also help each other based on our strengths.
I saw her on TCC and was stuck on this familiar face but I can't place it nowhere. Now she mentioned here that she worked in the Premier's office in the NC and I think I made the connection. We went to high school together.
Marriage is not about personal choices, it's about building a responsible society. It's about community, it's a way of life we cannot discards. It's humanity's backbone.
Oh yes, Mrs Domingo you are representing the real woman, enkosi dear. This is a woman onesidima. I have learn a lot and now I understand why the rejection i receive
Just in the intro. The caption of the video was already awesome and finally Penuel came to learn as much as us but in a more relaxed and relatable way. This is going to beee amazing.
25:39 whilst lobola has been perverted, it actually is a biblical principle. I respect the opinions and especially the sovereignty of free will and ultimately I hope we don’t further pervert or twist the principles of God in the name of free will.
@ the conversation on lobola was a conversation between the man who intends to Marry and the father of the bride, the principle was to honor the family of the bride. It essentially gave the man who is marrying the woman rights to name his children after him. Granted some cultures and practices were or are abusive to women and children but I feel it is folly of us to then disregard all of these principles in the name of free will. Lobola brought two families together and officialized the union but in the process it created safeguards and safety nets for the couple as they work to stay married. It was never designed to be harmful to women and children and the abusive nature of individuals should be treated as just that without tearing apart our values and culture because it is detrimental to generations that come and society as a whole. Absorption of new cultures and practices should be handled carefully so that we can better our experience of life so that it doesn’t cost us more than we would have bargained for.
@@sibusisobhebhe7490 Thank you for the response. iLobolo was about bringing families together and thanking the girl's family with what you had. I'm not aware that other Christians, besides black Africans, practice the idea of a man's family giving money to the woman's family. Please correct me.
What Africans have struggled to do is to adopt Christian values and apply them to African values and this is because of colonialism, Christianity is a cultural practice in its own right and it was imported into our own culture and because of some of the conflicting values and modernization we are choosing to forgoe our culture and we have come up with very interesting and clever ways to justify this.
@@sibusisobhebhe7490true people must also acknowledge that christianity is african! Christ is the lion of judah! Judaism and christianity are one they are interconnected an interrelated! African spirituality without faith is irrelevant and evil
...I think with the unfolding of a conversation, people should learn to qualify at any point of change in statements, change into whether they are being honest or idealistic. A lot of interviews suck because people think they can move in and out of the two spaces unchecked.
54:36 - 55:25 You cannot reconcile with someone who does not show remorse/is not remorseful for the hurt that they've caused you and has never apologized. Some situations are irreconcilable and sadly even the kids cannot reconcile with the father. 🤷🏾♂️ Maybe when they are older and can defend themselves emotionally, financially, physically, spiritually, etc etc. 🤔
I love HGTV where couples have renovation businesses together and still continue after divorce. It speaks to remorse and healthy separation. That can exist I agree but not for everyone.
This lady is respectful and polite. She speaks eloquently and clearly, but what she's saying about family, customs, bible understanding is lacking substance. When you reference the Bible, don't pick the rose and leave the steam and say God is for it. I will come back later and share a few key points as to why I disagree or say the above statement.
@@thabaninjokwe3439 agreed, let’s not pick and choose scriptures that validate our traumas, selfish ambitions and we miss the mind and principle of God.
Africans, Hallo! (in English), please stop having important conversations without historical context. No one on this discussion has mentioned the History of Marriage. Marriage is an institution, it came from somewhere, it has an origin. Once you understand it's historical significance, you can inform its present incarnation.

To be this comfortable with myself, my power and womanhood.
Wow, love this Pen, please bring her back with Nosisi, I can just imagine how much we would learn
Self control and selflessness is one thing that lacks in our society. We want to do as we please but we are not considerate of people we live with.
Also props to Pen for listening so much more in this episode. Wednesdays hit different now.
The one hour went too quick, thank you Apostle Thandi. Thank you Pen for inviting and engaging so maturely. Loved this ❤
