As a 50 year old want to be pilot (could never justify the cost) I subscribe to many aviation channels, I love seeing the views. Your channel is by far the best, where most just concentrate on the flying, yours is about the journey, which takes us with you. Having just completed the coast to coast series, I felt like I was in the passenger seat, along for the adventure. Thank you for doing what I have dreamt about.

So, gentlemen, I have just finished watching your adventure flying Coast to Coast, East to West. Using Josh’s words: “my jaw is on the ground.” What an amazing blend of flying skill by two great Airmen, superb video productions, and awe inspiring displays of human emotion, appreciation, and your love of life. You two are so blessed and thanked by so many who take the time to witness your love of life and your observations of the creation into which you were born.
    Thank you so much.

I just sat down and watched all 7 videos of your epic trip. I am 65 years old have only 250 hours of flight time and people ask me why I want to fly. I watched the videos and I know why I love flying.. If any one was to watch your wonderful videos and cant understand why I love to fly......well all I can say is viewing your videos Coast to Coast brought tears to my eyes! Thank you for the emotional ride!.

Josh, I wish TH-cam did an award show for their TH-camr. This series was amazing to watch. I must say I was living a little vicariously through your videos. Well done and Congrats on winning the award for BEST mini-series.

Sir I have to say this. Your calling is video production, movie producing etc etc etc and aviation is your avenue and perspective to bring that to those of us who are unable to view this amazing world from that special perspective. Thank you Tons !!!!!

Funny how the traffic gets less and radio chatter dies down as you've headed West. Until you hit LAX. Busy.
This has been an excellent series. Glad I got to live vicariously through it.

The DHS ramp check! Please tell or do a short story! I don't know anyone that can say they been ramp checked. What did they ask, want, etc?

    • @andrewarmstrong7310
      @andrewarmstrong7310 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

FAA ramp checks have been going on for years, they just want to make sure your certificates and such are good and up to date, nothing really to worry about, unless you have an expired medical card. Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Patrol, since at least 2012 that I am aware of has been performing ramp checks that are more towards criminal activity and searches of the airplane and baggage than safety compliance. FAA people aren't armed and dig through your bags, the DHS and CBP are and do. It is that gray line they intentionally put into every law.

These are probably the best avionic vids on the tube. It gets old watching the trip in the airplane, but never see the "adventure" or destination. My vote is do way more of these. Now, I'm off to watch the series again. Seatbacks and trays in the upright position please.

I LOVE your videos and I'm for sure looking forward to you future. Cheers to you man. I really want to shake your hand again too. It definitely was a pleasure meeting you at oshkosh 2015. Josh, I'm addicted to TH-cam (mostly aviation but ships, travel and more). I've been a pilot since 1979 with a lot of hours in Skyhawks and Archers. Let me say three things:
    1. This series and each video individually are the single most breath-taking videos on TH-cam (IMHO).
    2. You're living my dream; my wife and I love Florida, travel, exploration, history and the West. Bucket list item for me is to fly Route 66 from Chicago where I live amid Polar Vortexes, to Santa Monica, and show my wife - who's not the most comfortable in the air, but a real trouper - the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore, the desert and mountains from the air.
And the last thing I'd like to say is: Thank you.

Dudes that was very cool. I used to live in AZ for 25 years and now live in SoCal for just over 20 plus years. I first got my private pilot’s license in AZ in the late 80s. I had driven up to Sedona many times. The first time I flew into Sedona airport I could not believe the view and the feeling. It was kind of like landing on a stationary aircraft carrier. Ha. Both places in your video are very special to me since these areas were and are my home. Thanks so much. Great flying and video productions!!!! Always enjoy your videos. Cheers.

I can't say enough about this series. It was amazing to see your journey from coast to coast. I love how you do your videos and it continues to keep my passion of flying alive. One day I will get my private pilot license and enjoy a journey like yours. Thank you so much for sharing your journeys with us. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see the extended videos of your trip through the canyon and LA traffic.

Only now, I took the time and watched the whole 6 part series - magnificent! Great video, photo shots, and lots of good information on flying, but also what to do when on the ground!
Thanks for sharing this great trip and footage!

Congratulations on completing your mission! Have been to many of those places - decades ago. Nice to see them again. When I was your age and in the Coast Guard, I would drive CA-NC in two 24-hour stretches (roughly noon to noon) with a 24 hour layover in Amarillo. Those were grueling trips! Glad you got to see New Orleans Lakefront. That's where I picked up my Private SEL on 9-23-65. Keep the videos coming. I try to watch them all.
