- This film explores the thinking of Tom Blake, one of the great pioneers of surfing in the early and mid part of the 20th century. Focuses on how Blake was profoundly influenced by the scientific theories of Albert Einstein, especially his understanding of E=MC2. Tom Blake has had a tremendous influence on a number of water sports, ranging from surfing (he developed the hollow board, leashes, and fins) to sailboarding to paddleboarding. He was a world-class swimmer who was friends with Duke Kahanamoku. Blake was also one of the first to surf Malibu back in the 1920s and lived off and on in Honolulu for years. The film is partially based on Professor David Christopher Lane's book, Tom Blake: A Surfer's Philosophy--an excerpt of which appeared in Surfer's Journal. The movie also explores Blake's philosophical pantheism where he equates Nature with God and a brief section on Blake's adoption of vegetarianism back in 1924.The lifestyle million of surfers around the globe enjoy today can be traced, ,at least in part, back to Tom Blake and his visionary outlook on how to live life.

Even though I'm not a surfer, I live my life as if I'm on surf board through life...just chilling enjoying the weather and surf, life comes along knocks me down...I struggle but I get back up on my board remind myself to chill😎 and continue surfing.🤷♂️

Obey God's Laws - Nature Law of cause and effect (consequences). Whatever work/activities/karma we do (planting the type of seeds) we reap our own result of the type of fruit in the future.
Material/physical body is mortal, the soul(living entity) is spiritual, eternal and immortal.

Its 2024 and if someone out there in cyber land can help with my research. I just bought a used Blake 8'9 poly. Its a heavy board. Signed handshaped by Blake in Hawaii. Cool board with a couple of minor dings. Neeways, looking up who Blake is all i come up with is Tom Blake, cool i get a surfing history lesson but said he passed on in 1994?? Considering this , who is the Blake that made this board in 2003?? Anyone?? Bueller Bueller??? Thanks for ur help if u can 🤙🙏✌️

The individual unique soul is the source of energy (consciousness/symptom of life/living force) of all moving(animal) and non-moving (plant/vegetation). Body (animal and plant) without the source of energy (soul) is a dead/deceased body.
My dad surfed Waikiki with Tom Blake in the 1940s. Bought his first surfboard from Tom which was waterlogged and overpriced. Tom was a bit of a grifter like all true surfers because all that matters is the next wave. I built my life around surfing but never tried to make money from it. No true surfer gives a rats ass about money. Just enough to keep surfing. The wave comes first, before school, before career, before money, before anything but family and sometimes even them.
Until today I had never heard of him, however, I found myself having a lot in common philosophically. I don’t “worship” nature though. Trees and water etc are very dear to me but the nature of Mankind? Not so much
