I have the always 2.0 pan and the Caraway pan set the same colors in the video. Honestly the Always pan is better in my opinion. I already had to contact customer service for my Caraway pan and get a replacement. The Caraway pan had got black marks on it. But I love the storage solution for Caraway. I love using the Always 2.0 pan I mostly make eggs, salmon, spinach, tacos, and steak.

You guys deserve an affiliate link for Caraway, because you sold me!
Love the synergy between you two!

Want to throw it out there that Our Place has lousy customer service. Even for simple issues - I just had my glass lid damaged in shipping and they wouldn't help. They also delete all of their negative questions or comments on instagram. I get it - people can be unreasonable, but I watched as questions that could have easily been resolved disappear. I would assume with a large price tag, you have funds for customer service. I appreciate your review and maybe will switch over to Caraway!

Not so sure. I am really researching these pots/pans right now (Caraway) and there are lots of complaints. Several people say the non stick does not last long and they are so expensive. :(

IMO, I think with caraway and always, you are basically paying a markup for aesthetics and marketing. They are both “ceramic”, which really isn’t ceramic but instead uses a chemical with sand that provides the coating. “Ceramic” coatings do not last as long as Teflon. You could just get a regular Teflon pan and save half your money unless the aesthetics matter to you. (And tbh, it’s probably not going to look pretty like that for too long with normal wear and tear.)
The madein on the other hand, like any other carbon steel pan will last for a literal lifetime and unlike, the other products, they will get better over time. But the downside is the maintenance…and some people just want to stick the pan in the sink and wash or leave it there for a while. They don’t want to worry about possibly letting it sit in water. In that case, a regular Teflon pan is probably a better option.

What about pots for each of them? I know with pans you're usually using higher heat, but pots a lot of the time is lower, slower cooking.

Out of curiosity, why do you think the maintenance of carbon steel is like 10% of cast iron? I find them basically equivalent since I do the exact same thing for a carbon steel as a cast iron and I don’t really baby my cast iron. Maybe I’m doing it wrong, lol.

Cast Iron and Carbon Steel is exactly the same in terms of maintenance, except the seasoning on the CS is less stable due to the weaker binding and smoother surface. And neither is "more non-stick than non-stick", they can be pretty non-stick, but nowhere near Teflon.

I use primarily cast iron but I have been curious about carbon steel. I did not know that carbon steel seasoning has weaker bonding…good to to know…thank you!

our place is the worst choice. I wasted my money buying that pan. I regretted it so much. Although it is really pretty.
