Love your videos. Farming as it really is. Pony looks very young. Look at Horse Welfare to adopt a broken in, ready to ride pony, and keep Penny as a companion. Reminds me of my childhood.
Yes that's an idea. Al see what my friends can. Do with her see how bad she is and if she's going to cost fortune to break Al.not bother. Yes childhood in my eyes is the best thing you can do in life. Nothing else matters. You can't take money with you
I agree 💯 with what you and Oliver said. About land rovers they are absolute rubbish , I had a Range Rover v8 and it cost a fortune in repairs while I had it, I replaced it with a hilux which hasn’t cost anything in repairs since i bought it two years ago , Toyota all the way .
Sam, you have a good heart for your children. I think once your baby is born and you are ready to break her, do so. In the meantime your children can enjoy Penny as their pet.
I agree :) my fault letting them try! I should of waited. If he tolled me the truth that its only been backed once or twice on the day i wouldn't of put anyone on. He said it was broken to ride so took his word ..Came from a home with kids, but no worries:) iam on it 😁

i dont do horses but if i did i would never by one from a traveller unless i needed to feed a dog. leave the horse issue to you but i really agreed with Oliver on his comments, and it does help to educate the kids on some wise practices. think the noise being made would challenge a police horse i would be having words with the expert you took with you to chose the pony. anyway great video did you buy anything at the auction.think you £500 would have been better used there.
People advised me to get one from a traveller for the reason with bombproof in traffic and she is. Just isn't backed to ride. No we didn't buy anything can't afford anything 🤣 I used my own pup and money for the kids pony. It's okay all trial and error I was wrong he was right . As usual 🤣🤣🤣 good job he's a good head on him . My intentions were right just a little tweaking needed 🤣
i don't know anything about horses so i'm not going to comment on them . that tidy Valtra tractor and loader was the A range there fairly basic i think ideal in around the yard lifting bales around etc he's probably about 95hp but it was a tidy outfit
Thank you Sam , hopefully it just needs a bit more time to settle in, but I am definitely no expert I have never had a horse before, & even if they can’t ride it they can keep it as a pet look after it & keep them busy, & plus it could of been abused or something you don’t know because the person you got it from just want to sell it so are not going to be honest

Keep doing what you're doing. it's good viewing! Oliver is outspoken, and I can see that's just how he is and thats fine, but its better off being careful what you say about gypsies. They honestly would not think twice about coming one night and lighting something up. Its just not worth the hassle. It didn't take me long to work out where your farm is, so im sure they could work it out too.

Cringed a bit hearing the kids copying their dad, "never trust a gypsy" not a good idea for them to learn that. I bet you'll get it sorted once you've had the baby; anyway the kids need to learn that riding means falling off sometimes, even on the best behaved pony. Our pony used to let you ride for a while and then when he got bored he'd gently tip you off and take himself off to the river for a few days; he'd come back when he got itchy and wanted to be brushed.

I don’t think he’s right on this occasion sorry 😬 I think everything was stacked against the horse this time, I think a calmer environment and a calmer person on the lead rope it would be a different story…..it’s not bomb proof obviously but I wouldn’t say it’s unbacked either. Try it with some fitting tack and a competent teenager that’s had a few years riding would be my advise. Enjoy the videos but I think you speak most sense most of the time Sam. Definitely not fair to Tar everyone with the same brush, there’s good and bad in all walks of life….personally I don’t think you did to bad. Good luck!

Sam.....return the pony and either get your money back or get the seller to get you an aged pony that has been well used....ridden and handled by kids. Even if you get the pony broken it will need plenty of work by a good young jockey before it will be trust worthy for your children who in fairness have no riding experience. Believe me I've been there and the kids safety is whats important. Pony might seem quiet and tractable now but she could quiet easily bite or kick the kids if the humour took her.
Did they deliver the other half of the pony yet? I can't believe people would take advantage of a pregnant woman like that & sell you half a horse. When it's not working out force it.😁

I think you need to get your priorities in order. It was only a month ago you were asking for “donations” to pay for fertiliser! So you sell a puppy and buy a horse. I have enjoyed watching you videos as they portray real like farming but beginning to think you are a bit of an attention seeker. Shame
Donations did go towards fertiliser and is absolutely appreciated.... sold a pup to buy a horse for the children yes. Its summer. They adore horses. Like i said in previous videos, we don't take them anywhere, and this beats a tablet inside, don't you think? Money well spent I think ! Iam a random woman always have been, ask anyone that nos me. 👍👍 we are real life farming and this is what we did the last 2 days. 😁 Oliver has been busy carting grass ALL HOURS for us to get by.

I don’t think Oliver has the best way with horses. He is much calmer around tractors. Yup, someone who knows what they are doing.
