Excellent Smithers! We are all looking forward to your future real time reviews on the V6 model pros and cons ! I'm also curious to hear if the engine runs 0w-20 motor oil 😂
lets see if you have the same problem like me with my amarok v6. Sometimes when the engine gets cold and I want full power I don‘t get it. I saw the same problem on carwow chanel with the dragrace between amarok, ranger raptor and hilux.
Great car. the best ute hands down in this segment but Ford's reliability is just trash. Every day I see on facebook pages of someone having transmission issues, engine blown, oil leaks etc. I just bought a 24.5 XLT and am thinking of selling it in a couple of months and go a triton. At least with the triton you will be covered for 10 years
@@DanielZeravica you can check out some Ford forums. The 10R80 transmission, Panther diesel engine and the Lion V6 is an engine that dates back to 2004 and Ford is trying to advertise it like its the latest and greatest.
Ford are paying attention to the rules, Payload has to be under 1 Ton for private buyers to get Novated Lease, if it's over 1 Ton you can't get the lease, If you want over 1 Ton you can get the XL, XLS or XLT, Wildtrack buyers are typically private buyers not Tradies, so it's better for them to offer it with under the 1 Ton limit.
I can tell you mine is 6 months old. 150000km and already been back to the dealer twice. Glow plugs replaced as engine light was on after 10000km. Hands on steering wheel drives me crazy. And driver fatigue warnings. Went back to get the updates. Not much better. Honestly I'm not to happy with it so far!!!
$88k for a Ute. You must be the most delusional person to spend that much money on a car that has mostly interior like Temu plastic looking like. USB at the back. Wow. Value for money = shit. Build quality not so impressive. Only thing is good with that vehicle is the look n may be the engine. For me the interior doesn’t feel like it’s worth that type of money. Jumped in a GWM that’s what I expect the quality should look like in the ranger. Come on.
did he just say a pathetic slow diesel sh*tbox with more timing belts then an 80s toyota is just as good as a HSV maloo the quality of stupid comments from chasing cars presenters is way up there these days that toyota prado review sounded like a paid AD for the big T not a single bad word was said the most funny part was all the kind words for the gutless 2.8L sh*theap of a motor that cost toyota millions in class action payouts because they couldn't even engineer a DPF properly
1:17 about $37000-$58,000 U.S. $ , here we have 4 models XL, XLT, LARIAT , RAPTOR engines 2.3. 2,7, 3.0 V6 gas ...no diesels no Everest

I ve just bought one so I watch with great interest I pick it up tomorrow

How can you say the best Ute if it’s not reliable mate.
surely you'd buy literally anything other than a triton.
Payload does not mean how much you can put in the tray! There are axle limits and they are never high enough to have 966kgs of load in the tray.
Let us know how often the dpf regenerates and if it gives you any issues. Does it display the regen while it's happening?
Rangers don’t have DPF issues.
@@glennO-e9r Even with a lot of start stop and short distance driving?
@ yes, very rarely does the DPF need a forced regen or replaced due to blockage. The DPF would be the least of your problem though.
@@glennO-e9r what are the other problems 😳

Wow product team at Ford really messed up with payload of sub one tonne; clearly not paying attention to Australian tax laws.

In house built 10 speed transmission
A collaboration between GM and Ford, normally rivals, but shared the development cost.
@ ford ditched that transmission to zf 8 speed for Chinese-market version of its Ranger.
Made in South Africa 🇿🇦 😊
No, Thailand.
The VW version is imported from SA but the Ford is from Thailand in Oz.
I'm sorry but 10000km is not a long term review in any way! Do 150k+ and then do a review.

They have to spruik the cars or the manufacturers would ghost them - and no nice new cars to test and so no job. Always follow the money.
Yeah but still it sold for the next two years so a lot of people didn’t care about all those issues, might be a lot of dummies but it’s popular
