It's one thing to use physical punishment to discipline your child. Slapping them in the face is no longer that. Now it's assault. Especially if the son or daughter is legally an adult or soon to become one. But I think I'm getting off track.
My point being that if the child is struck above the waist, and it's done for a stupid/petty reason, or if their health/safety are in danger then I think the kid has a right to strike their parents back. Having said that it should be done if they truly believe and know they can overpower their parents and win the physical confrontation. Otherwise they may have to get a weapon to even things out.

She then upgraded the belt to an extension cord and I tried my best not to cry out loud and I succeeded but tears was definitely flowing. It took everything in my power not to grab the extension cord out of her hand because my father was nearby watching. 😂
