    This is the first time I've ever heard this piece played on the organ. It's fantastic. Bravo!

    Thank you for putting this version of Solfeggieto by C.P.E. Bach on TH-cam. When I was a child, one of my teachers made me learn the piano version of this piece.

    I never liked the way he ended it.
    This isn't a complaint towards you, but it feel like CPE had to turn this in by a certain deadline and ran out of time at the end.

    I always wanted to learn how to play the organ, but have no idea where to access one

      I'm going through the same thing right now. If you go to a church they might let you practice on their organ. If you don't go to a church you might need to get your parents to talk to someone at a church nearby your home and see if you would be allowed to practice. If you start getting really serious about your organ study the next move is to get a really good one for your home.
      Best advice is to find a good organ teacher who just happens to be at church organist. That opens the door to your practicing there.

    this piece is just a single melodic line, what does it gain by being played on an organ

    • @helvete_ingres4717
      @helvete_ingres4717 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jackplace5442 disagree, the sustain on an organ muddies the aforementioned single melodic line. Btw I listened to your playing for about 10 seconds and you really need to start practicing w/ a metronome

    • @helvete_ingres4717
      @helvete_ingres4717 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Qzkaaa CPE Bach is not 'Bach' but one of his sons, and this is NOT an organ piece and that's clear from even glancing at it to any but the musically illiterate. It's a commonly-used teaching piece for keyboard students. You have no idea what you're talking about

    • @maskaraid4763
      @maskaraid4763 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@helvete_ingres4717 If it's too muddy, vary the touch. There is plenty in the organ repertoire comprising fast single-line textures, shared between the hands - the opening of BWV 541 is one example. And what about pedal solos?! Whilst J.S. Bach might not make the whole organ piece out of such a texture, this argument doesn't hold water. A good organist (listen to Stephen Buzzard playing BWV 541) uses touch to colour the line. Playing the Solfeggio on the organ makes an interesting study. Much is gained.
