Thanks very much! Haha, I was pretty pleased with how that climb went but maybe I ran out of puff a little bit at the top. At the same time though, I didn’t want to drop down the other side feeling tooooo tired so I didn’t totally end myself on the climb because I knew it was going to be tricky times descending in the wet!
Excellent ride. I really, really, love the telemetry. I've shared this with six or seven people already just because of the telemetry. It's also fun to watch someone in position 15 or 20 or 25. A lot of times when you were watching the videos of the ones right up front, it's just them riding. Here we got to see you catch people etc. Excellent race!
Haha! Well, thanks! I’d certainly quite like to be one of those at the front but I totally know what you mean. The times when I’ve won my quali heat for example are never as exciting as when I’m having a good battle with a whole bunch of other people! Plenty of action in this video that’s for sure.
Really easy for you in the mud. I apreciated the last overtaking with the heart above 170 ...thanks for sharing with the full data, very usefull to understand better the race.
Great race. The strengths and drawbacks of the extra grip tyres were really obvious. I was amazed at how good they were on the snow and they were immense on the mud. But boy did you pay for it on the stones near the top, the pedalling and tar! You must have been knackered after the race!
@@antog42 It’s cool you noticed! They felt good but noticeably draggy which I guess isn’t ideal for such a pedally course! If I had more time (and wasn’t also racing the e-bike category) then maybe I could have cut the rear tyre down to make it roll a bit faster… made for an interesting race at least! Definitely felt tired by the end of the weekend that’s for sure!
For me as an average biker-Joe it's just bonkers to see that people can put down 1000 watt during a race like that 😅 You could probably power a toaster with that 😂 One of the best Megaavalanche 2024 videos out there...love the stats. Puts the fisheye videos into perspective wjen you see a grade auf -5/% 😮
Haha, indeed! Probably could power a tiny little toaster for a short amount of time 😅 I can’t guarantee just how toasty your toast would be by the end of it though! Probably more likely to turn it brown with mud rather than coming anywhere near close to burning it 😂
very tough race. You are all great guys and heroes. it seemed that light riders were better at doing small work with the steering wheel, They draw curves better. guys are bigger, they prefer to cut. you survived the crisis for 22 minutes, and again in the top 3. where can I see the top ten riders by results?
Cheers! Here is a link to the full results. This page is for the main final but you can also find results for the other categories and quali races on the same website: timingzone.com/megavalanche-alpe-dhuez-2024/#1_7A2204
Was wondering why rider was standing in the way leaving his bike on the track! Concussion will do that! Hope downed rider OK. Great run ,love all the telemetry 😁👍
C'est complètement DINGUE ce genre de descente à des vitesses pareilles avec des tas d'obstacles pour se faire très mal en cas de chute. A mon sens, c'est un sport TRÈS dangereux et pas du tout spectaculaire. Salut et fraternité*
Thanks for sharing the dashboard! It's really interesting to see the slope, speed and power for this race!
You’re welcome! It’s a bit of extra effort but I think the stats help to show the whole story 🙂 Glad you like it!
Tebrik ederim. Harika iş çıkarmışsınız.
Thanks!
I LOVE that final push!!
@@montogeek Almost killed me but well worth it!!! It’s pretty cool seeing the power and hr stats for that effort too 🙌
Man, you are a brute. You took that hill as if you owned it, and the mud didn’t seem to be a problem. What aride. Thanks for sharing it.

Wow you put a lot of heart in that run. Great job...
@@patrickmchatton7958 Thank you!!! Was very happy to relax for a few days after, haha
Good job Brother. Love the dashboard. Love that it has the grade. It puts everything in prospective.
Cheers man, glad you like it!!

I certainly try my best!! Haha. Thanks very much!
Great race James. Great results in tough conditions (muddy conditions). Well done.
Thank you!

I wouldn’t say really easy but I seemed to do a better job than most! Real tricky conditions. Thanks for the comment! Cheers
Sorry for cutting you off buddy in 6:24. I thought that that injured rider will stop you and I couldn’t stop from that top line.
Oh! Haha, all good man! It can be total chaos sometimes!
seems like your setup for the speed sections was just great - you were flying boy!
Thank you very much sir!
very good race of a real pro. congratulations from germany

Massive power numbers! 1300 at the end, I was out of breath just watching 🥵
Haha, thanks! I’m not actually as punchy as I used to be so it’s something to work on for next year! 💪
Great ride and thanks for the full telemetry. Any chance you could share your bike details and choices. Many thanks.
Glad you liked it! Yes, good idea, I should try and do a quick bike check video soon… cheers!
Jamesy Boy getting it!

Great race. There's not much missing to the absolute top.
Thanks! Just a bit more fitness I think… I’ll work on that for next year!
Amazing! Lots of hawk tuah’s during the race. Haha

What happened at 6:24. He was liam ?
this guy had a massive crash
Yeah, that’s Liam unfortunately. He made a mistake and boshed his head into the ground 🤕 He’s fairly ok though!

Thanks, also for all the information on the screen. But what is "W" ??
Hi! Glad you like it. ‘W’ is the power my little leggies are producing in Watts. Cheers!
Can someone tell me what the gauge in the lower left corner is measuring? Thanks.
