Thank you so much for the support! I have just started writing one.. so fingers crossed I get the time to keep at it and finish it throughout winter! 😊
Those balcony exhibits seem to be more like pieces of art within the confinds of a balcony. I immediately noticed the sunlight issues you'd get with that verticality, unless you live on the top floor. It does look awesome and very well designed. I am also all for a practical balcony garden in addition to the eye candy.
You hit the nail right on the head! I totally agree. Top floor of a large beautiful building. Not your everyday residential block. Again, beautiful artwork... It just would have been nice to see a little more of a mixture of practicality & art. It's a start though so I guess we can't complain. Thank you for watching and sharing your views ❤
@@CloudGardenerUK Absolutely agree. As you say, it's a step ahead and acknowledgement of how many of us have balconies - and want to garden them like crazy! But yes, these looked very designer, which is inspirational, but not the hands dirty, day to day of being an urban balcony gardener, with limited space. It would be ace if you did get to be at next year's show. Here's to you and all balcony growers - we may have head in clouds but we're down to earth and dirty, in a good way! 😄😄🌻🌻
@@catherinedawson9980 thank you soo much! I would love it so much! It would be great to have a mixture of the art and the reality so even if it's just a stall showing off all of our amazing balconies 😊 Us balcony gardeners are a different breed 🥰🌻🌺🥀🏵 Thank you so much for watching, supporting and sharing your views! ❤
I think these designs would work if they were part of an original plan of the building like they did it with Bosco Verticale or the Aga Khan Centre. They're not in touch with an actual generation of balcony gardeners who tend to be in their 20s and 30s, young professionals, with limited disposable income. Also, I agree that when you visit balcony gardens in general most have some elements of vegetable growing, that would the priority for people with limited growing space, especially after 2020. But then again, most gardens at Chelsea Flower Show are an inspiration rather than a reality. 😉 They're probably better viewed as art than as ideas for your own garden.
Thank you for sharing your Chelsea visit. All the balcony spaces seem a lot larger than the small balcony space in Victoria BC. Inspiration is the key word.
Yes. In comparison to normal balconies in city centres they were huge and didn't really reflect the small space gardening that we do. However, it was nice to be seen. Hopefully next year there's a slightly more practical garden 😊 Thank you for watching 🤗🥰
I don't live in an apartment. I don't have a balcony garden. Don't be disappointed. Your garden looks better than what was displayed. Yours also is more realistic of what a typical balcony garden, inmy opinion, should be.
Patrick! Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind words. There's an element of art to the flower show so I have to take that on board. However, it felt like a missed opportunity to show a bit of reality. Especially when you look at all the work the balcony gardeners do in our group. Thanks, I'm so glad you like the Cloud Garden too! 🥰
I would love to do something like that. We are super proud of everything we achieve in our small growing spaces and our little community is so passionate. I am sure they would love to get on board and help others to maximize on their spaces 🥰
@@CloudGardenerUK the other thing is they are showing the balconies from the wrong side. Balconies are usually viewed from doorway side, not floating half way up a building 😂😂
@@brown8382 Thank you! I love this idea soo soo much! I have a few things in place for the channel but I am going to really work on this idea on a bigger scale!! ❤
The balcony gardens were lovely, but it seemed like they had a designer come in do the balcony and that was that. I think that someone like you is a real plants person would feel slightly robbed. The balconies were more about design than enjoying gardening on a balcony. But maybe that's Chelsea.
Yes I think that's exactly right. They were beautiful gardens and the designers did a fantastic job. It just wasn't really a practical balcony. Hopefully next year with a bit of help from the Cloud family we can show that you can have an arty but practical balcony too :) Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! ❤
What did you guys think of the balcony garden exhibits? 🤔 What would you have wanted to see?
Great conclusions and beautiful show. I think like you mentioned, more container based balcony ideas!
I'm not sure why YT cut out the end of the video guys but.. it was only a reminder to like & subscribe! ❤ Thank you for watching! ❤❤
Would be great if you got to show at Chelsea Flower Show! Also I would read the hell out of any book you wrote about balcony gardening.

Wow , absolutely beautiful , plants and flowers are all
very looking healthy .

Completely agree! Get them shown Jason!
Thank you sooo much Ellla! 🤗❤ I'm definitely going to do my best even if it's just a stall! 😊
Love the look your mother gave you. Lovely content first time on your channel.
Thank you. And who would have thought that I would be exhibiting at Chelsea this year?? 😳🙈
I am soo glad you enjoyed the content ❤❤
I think you should do a virtual balcony garden show with your community
