Norf had a real good draft. Going early on a KP player is a good idea and he'll be ready for their flag window. Getting back the first pick in the 2nd round - that's a good strategic decision for me. They've got enough high-end mids.
There were plenty of key defenders taken in that range of the draft, in fact some recruiters ranked Noah Mraz higher, they didn’t need to throw away a potential top 5 pick to get Whitlock
most clubs would be happy who they got.Jack Lukious.Joe Richards Joe Berry Jack Whitlock and Christian Moares is a good return of players after losing Houston and Sam Powell Pepper will be like a new recruit next year..4 of these players are forwards so super excited about how our forward line might look next year
The Tiges got a ripping draft haul they've basically changed the club in one tilt. Take a couple a years but enjoy the future years watching these kids come along all together at once.
Love how the vast majority of fans dump on the Saints year on year and yet you could argue they’ve drafted exceptionally well for the past 3-4 years straight. Nobody’s going to see them coming when all their young talent comes together
I’m tiger supporter but u are right this draft smart to take Tarau & all the 1 to 4 year players good mix of senior players only battle left this year I think, Stkilda on the up Ross the boss not playing about father son pick up a big win it’s all happening Higgins & Buttler smell success
Riak Andrew is definitely worth a punt if he can get his body right. Having said that, Sydney have tanked their last few drafts with their early “bolter” selections. Dattoli will be straight into the side …
Don’t agree on Kangas being so low. They got the 2nd best player in the draft and arguably a top 2 key defender who can also play forward in the draft. Maybe they will package their 2nd and the 2nd they also got back in the trade which will be pick 1 in that 2nd round for a higher first round. Eagles got a stack of middle tier ceiling guys and Shanahan, (still no high end midfielders) that doesn’t move their needle at all. Glad you ranked the saints so high, don’t know why people hated on their draft haul.
It’s more so the conflicting message, they traded out a potential top 5 pick to get a bloke at pick 27 who although promising, will take years to develop. They say they want to improve now but they’ve thrown away a chance at doing that with a high pick next year to draft a project player, just doesn’t make much sense to me.
@ everyone keeps saying they need key position players, they got a guy who would easily be a top 10 next years draft. They took Goad and Dawson last year, Whitlock this year.. Who they were trying to trade in to get from about 12 onwards… so had they got him at pick 12 would it be any different or worse off as they wouldn’t have gotten a 2nd rounder back in that scenario.
@ you football commentators always find a way to start with Collingwood. Always promoting them. Who starts with the bottom team first? I bet if Collingwood were on the top and Brisbane was on the bottom you would have started at the top with Collingwood. After they won in 2023 every list on any thing football always started with Collingwood then Brisbane etc. can’t find a list so far that starts with Brisbane. But found yours starting with Collingwood but that was just a coincidence of course.

Geelong are known to select massive bolters, these players weren’t high up on draft boards but it doesn’t mean they won’t be great players in the future, the Cats are better at this than most.
You guys need to take your glasses off. They swapped out their first round for a first round and still got their man Kako. Alternatively was Kako only because they would have been forced to spend their pick 9. Still - l guess there’s no convincing some🤷🏻♂️
