Sorry to tell you mate, no need to remove wheel, just turn wheel into right giving you clearance then take out top 3 lugs from rubber protective skirt, and there you go access to the oil filter, just done the oil and filter service myself, don’t go taking wheels off and getting under vehicles when you don’t have to unless absolutely 100% safely supported as recipe for disaster or severe injury, thx
No need to be sorry - great suggestion for those looking to undertake the oil & filter change with the car on the ground. As my video shows this was actually completed on a hoist, so safely lifting the car and easily removing the wheel was an option. This allowed other servicing not shown in the video.
Thanks a lot, great videos. In Argentina we have no instruction manual about this matters, and Ranger Raptors ( from Thailand) but not parts. Thank you again pals. Yes, we have official services, but not to trust. I have proof of that.
Awsome video with a lot of professional details thanku. Before i was watching this video i was worried about the 10minutes oil change on the ranger but its seems not the BI turbo it's for the 3.2 Thanks alot
Would it not be better to get the oil filter ready to be taken out before draining the oil out? Also prime the filter before putting it on? Do we still have to stick to the 10 minutes oil drain and re0fill rule or is that just for 3.2l engines?
Awesome video. Just wondering if the sump plug has an o ring or something that needs to be bought. I want to do an oil change on my raptor. Just a little nervous haha😅
I changer mine at 4000km also, but i just changed the oil and left the filter.Ill change it at 7500km from now on. Are you sure about the 10 minute oil change.
First of all, amazing content, cheers! Secondly, I have the non-biturbo ecoblue engine on mine (170 PS) and was googling around to find the engine oil specs but could not find it anywhere. Would know if I could use the same oil/filter as the bi-turbo? Thanks!
If I use Castrol Lube Guide, their Australian website recommends CASTROL MAGNATEC STOP-START 0W-30 D, and if I use Mobil Lube Guide, their Australian website recommends MOBIL SUPER 3000 FORMULA F 0W-30. Nulon Lube Guide says NULON APEX+ 0W-30 ECO-PLUS C2. If you are outside Australia, your search may reveal other oils.
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me, if you did solve the issue... I did the oil change but the "oil change required" warning it's still there after a couple of months (5000km). In the cluster options there's no "oil life reset" option. Thanks for your help .
Yes that's correct. Little DIY servicing info on the Biturbo as most vehicles are still under fixed priced servicing or warranty. Google "Ford Ecoblue" for more non-AU specific info about the Biturbo.
Hi, that was a good video and very detailed. Looked like the 15k first service. I need the 30k service in addition to this which seems to be fuel and cabin filters. Any tips you can share? Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the feedback. The service was a cautionary 4k service to reduce gap till first oil change. Given the lack of Biturbo DIY knowledge out there, I’ll add more videos as I can.
@@aussiedriver Thanks... mine consistently asks for a change mid-services - and the $350 for this as an extra charge has prompted me to do it in "another way"
Thanks for this. Worked like a charm. And saved me $400

Believe oil filter torque is 25 + 5nm as per what’s printed on top of the cap - not 25 + 30nm as per your video text.
So glad I don't have to take the wheel off

Can you make a video on how to change the fuel filter too? Thanks
As we share the same engine with my ranger raptor, i thank you for this video
Very detailed, many thanks
I appreciate this

That is 100% confirmed, only the 3.2 is affected by the stupid design?
Hi Mate, How do you get the change engine oil soon light to go off? Cheers
Thank you.
Does the Bi-turbo get away with the 10mins time counting curse?
Want to know this as well..
No answer yet - It might be for the 3.2 only
3.2 only

Is there some software thing that needs to be done? Oil dilution or some other switch or setting?

Genuine oil filter includes all seals needed to change the oil
What kind of oil are you using for ford ranger bi turbo diesel?
I changer mine at 4000km also, but i just changed the oil and left the filter.Ill change it at 7500km from now on. Are you sure about the 10 minute oil change.

hello mate did you reset any settings after oil change..

I didn't as this was a mid-scheduled service oil change
Sorry to be green .... but just to confirm the 2litre bi turbo engine doesn’t need a 10 minute limit as people are suggesting?
Yes that's correct. Little DIY servicing info on the Biturbo as most vehicles are still under fixed priced servicing or warranty. Google "Ford Ecoblue" for more non-AU specific info about the Biturbo.
very good

Do not use not more than
10K
Wow nice video nice 👍
nice
Liked and sub’d...
Doesn't it have the 10 minute max like the older 3.2L oil change?
Very few cars have non-self priming oil pumps like the 3.2L. The Bi-turbo doesn’t

@@jacograaff Be mindful changing oil yourself can void warranty, as they consider it service by unqualified technician. It's stupid, but could happen.
Thank you
