as a freelance motion designer , it's very inspiring yet very depressing to see this animations. I found motion designers level has grown so quickly the last 2-3 last years, it's hard to keep the level
Do you love it?
@@zalvey1 That's the main thing. Don't get discouraged, most of these projects are not done by one person alone but a handful at least. Maybe you'll also get a chance to work on something like these one day, you never know. Just enjoy it for what it is and try your best!
Most of these projects are done by dozens of people for weeks or months. It isn't fair to compare it 1:1
@@bryangrunaueryou're probably right. I would like to see a video called "the best motion with low budget and averrage AE skill, yet good ideas"
@@colin9170 I feel the same. Please @BenMarriott think about it
After watching these videos I always get the mixed feeling of being super inspired and imposter syndrome, thank you for being such an amazing motion curators!
Exact same. I try to remind myself that the type of videos I typically make (animated videos to go along with educational resources) are just a different type of video which helps me trend more towards "super inspired". Not that I think I could make these sorts of videos, but it makes me feel like I could (possibly) *learn* to make these sorts of videos if that were the sort of video I was making. But for now, I'll just make the absolute best informational videos I can.
And anyways I just checked out your channel and you make some great stuff!
@@BryanSchultzitis thanks! And I think the same, it's like that overwhelming feeling of knowing there's a lot of stuff to learn and super eager to start doing things, but also like, damn I'm so far away from that level. But obviously that feeling won't stop me from doing what I'm doing atm!
I know it's hard, but the only person you need to be comparing yourself to is you. This is true in all aspects of life.
Please keep doing these I missed these so much. The exposure to these stylized artists and their mutuals when I go to their social medias are super inspiring.
I'm a general fan of motion design as a form of animation so I love coming here and having you point out all the amazing work!
Thank you Ben and Derek for keeping us all so inspired and motivated, bless your hearts
Reimagine was my favourite, beautiful work. That illusion of reality that just broke as the peripherals snapped. That level of animation is what I'm chasing as my pinnacle. Thanks for sharing these Ben
Love these reflections on the year. Massively inspiring! Cheers, Ben!
I love this kind of breakdowns. As a beginner, this helps me a lot to understand how animation works.
Fantastic, thanks you both for smashing these refs together! Really good stuff there!
I really really really love the illumina one, so pure motion design, only colors and shapes and seamless transitions one after the other, Trully spectacular!!
i think you really missed PLAYGROUND- trailer by Rodrigo Sousa, its absolutly incredible
Oh boy! Just watched it, this was what the TH-cam comment section was made for. Thanks for the suggestion
Nkondo's stuff have been absolutely my favourite for a while now, nice to see him receive some love!
I could watch those Colophon logo to icon animations all day! So smoooooooth and clever!
thank you for curating such an amazing list of animators because most works get lost in the digital space left unnoticed!
Wow! Amazing animations! Congratulations to the creators 👌
Very pleased to share these!
I'll definitely be keeping that somewhere to study, thank you so much for the curating work !
one of my favourite youtube playlists, thank you ben
Wow, so much to learn and to try out now!
Wow, these amazing motions makes me feel soooo inspired!!!!! Keep going!!!!
As an everything motion enthusiast im feeling lucking to have recommened this channel by an online aquaintance ;-; i am so so happy
Amazing Animators and Studios! Such a great inspiration for us.
*I love this kind of breakdowns. As a beginner*
Very cool! Thanks Ben.
This is a high dose of inspiration!!
Jonathons work is simply incredible!
Sehr gut! Thanks broooo ^^
I want this to be my life, so much inspiration!!!!
These are great! Have you seen the Muscles & Mayhem intro? It really reminded me of your style.
J'attendais cette vidéo depuis mars mdr
Yaayyy it's back
This is incredible
Great compilation 👌🏾 It was the rubber ducky one for me 🦆
zack lydon simply georgeous sakuga, that fabouncy frame by frame to ebsynth quite good tho, brilliant
Amazing work! As always gives an inspiration boost ✨
By the way, could you please tell the font name you use for the captions?:)
Hi Ben. Recently, there are many AI drawing tools similar to "stable diffusion," some of which also include plugins for generating frame-by-frame animations. I'm wondering if using these tools could help create some funny animations, but completely out of ideas. Could you share some thoughts or ideas on how to possibly use these new tools to create animations or to help create animation.
So many talented people on earth
All were the Finest that i ever saw 🤩
the nerdo film is just wooooow, the use of grain😍😍
No grain, No gain
omg a new video
Fantastic video
I’m surprised spiderverse 2 wasn’t included, which I’m pretty sure is the greatest animated movie that humans have made yet (animation wise)
No way I’m seeing Jacques video here. All of his videos are beautiful ❤️
waiting for the next episode of this series for a long time
It's been a long time coming! Won't be as long before the next one :)
@@BenMarriott will be waiting for the next one. this is next level
Hey Ben, I was wondering if you still have animdessin2 working? I started to get into animation more seriously but when I tried to get it it seems like it’s outdated and doesn’t work. Have you been using any alternatives? Thanks for teaching me so much!
Though it's more traditional animation, I can't say enough good things about the HBO Max series Scavengers Reign and its otherworldly depiction of alien worlds. It would be a worthy addition to this list.
I couldn't agree more
Your in-depth analysis of these cutting-edge animation and motion design pieces is truly captivating. Out of all the animations you mentioned, which one stood out to you the most in terms of pushing the boundaries of creativity and design innovation?
These motion designs and animations from 2023 are truly inspiring because it's amazing to see how creativity in this field keeps evolving.
shoutout to my employer Illumina, was NOT expecting that!
This is incredible. Does anyone have a video or know how to make streams of different colored lights fly through the air?
What software did the reimagine film use??
6:14 Little taste of joy reminds me of the anime film paprika
Will you please make a detailed video on : " Nicolo Bianchino | Colophon Foundry Animated logo ". That would be amazing.
So, is every animation nearly frame by frame creation form the ground?
Just a reminder for everyone in the chat:
Don't compare your progress to others. Remember how far you have come on your own journey.
We want tutorials on how to make these kind of animations!!!
ahhhh
is they useb after effects and illustrator ?
nice
Very nice yourself
Marathon trailer was sick, too bad game is gonna be nothing like it probably
If the game doesn't have glitches we riot!
On your thumbnail Where you get or made line box ? Please reply
I made it with rectangles in Photoshop
@@BenMarriott what is name of this element called ?
I'm working on a daily series call 13 Days of Halloween! Go let me know what you think!
I lowkey hate to see those amazing videos, make me feel so noob at AE..
These are made by teams of pros often with veryarge budgets and long timelines. Check out the credits for any of these and you'll see just how many artists with years of experience it takes. I really want these to be a source of inspiration and not the opposite.
@@BenMarriott yes ofc i get that.
at my small studio im like a god of AE(i have to tank you alot for that ! ), then i watch those kind of motion designs and i want to cry inside bcuz i have no clue how to even start to think about these kind of art.
anyway, don't get me wrong, Im really enjoying your content, so keep it up! :)
But... how to create them?
Hey, but they still need us right? For cheaper budget projects...
Somebody please just tell me. HOW PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT. Please suggest me some courses or strategy to achieve something in several month

Sixth is the best if you ask me
@@BenMarriott What I meant was that I am the sixth person in the comments but I like yours better
AI is losing the art fight, there's no way it can replace humans with such vercatility
you forgot spiderverse
got depression guys
it's 2023 dude,not 2022

This is such a cool curation.
I'm trying to get into the motion design community but I dunno where motion designers hang out.
Can anyone point me to some cool community forums I can join?
Can people give me any advice on videos in to learn more about motion graphics? I’m a graphic designer, with 20 years experience with photoshop and 15 years with illustrator. I’ve also done photography for 20 years so I’m no stranger to adobe software. I’m now pretty clued up on the UI of AE but I’m struggling with the theory, inspiration and putting some of these skills into practise. Is there anything anyone could recommend?
