  • Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Railways
Something of a rarity away from mainline & heritage Steam activities & something that has not been seen in St Helens for a very long time.
The North West Museum of Road Transport had delivery of single decker Tramway Tram 671 from Blackpool thanks to Reid Freight hauliers who brought 671 to her new home.
This was the 1st time since 1931 that St Helens had last seen a tram in the town.
We see her arriving before entering the museum ready for unloading onto the original rails that was once used for the horse drawn trams.
We have the footage of the rare & moment & a massive thanks to the personnel of the museum who had enabled me to make these clips possible.
With Reid Freight hauliers gone you don't get to see this every day for this 1 a bus shunting the tram getting ready for the tram to be cosmetically restored for display when the museum can reopens to the public.
Thanks for reading & enjoy the rare content & from me till next time goodbye.

Good to see these wonderful Trams being cherished. I grew up in Sheffield and really miss the "proper" trams we had up to the sixties, as a child Blackpool was my family's holiday destination of choice and a tram ride was one of the highlights. I wonder if they will re-paint her in the green and cream livery. Thanks for posting.

Great video and a welcome addition to an already enjoyable museum. I see the tram was part of a twin car edition. Will you be getting the other car eventually?

Due to the lack of space inside the museum I doubt it.
