The lock pattern should be just for the samsung pay app...it becomes difficult to easy access the widgets or even use google assistant
Once you wear the watch and unlock it, it will stay unlocked until you take off the watch, but on watch 6 series its not working as intended, on watch 5 series and 4 series its working fine

I used Samsung Pay on my old Galaxy Watch Active 2 here in the US and I had to unlock the watch only when using the SP app. Last year I upgraded to the Watch 5 and in order to use SP I had to unlock the watch every time I wanted to use any app. So I use SP on my S23 but not on my Watch 5 due to the need to unlock my watch over and over again each day.
Working Fine with my galaxy watch 4 in india and i am using it very smoothly one of the best feature in watch

I have been using samsung pay on my watch 4 for a long time in US. Since I got the upgrade to OneUI5 I came across a quirk I had not noticed before. When inwas out for a workout and I enabled a workout routine part way through my workout I stopped in a store and tried to use samsung pay by holding the back button and SP did not work. I kept trying with no luck thought something might be wrong. When I finished and ended my workout routine in the watch I tried holding back button again before restart and SP now worked. So I guess it will not work if a workout routine is currently running. This didn't use to be the case before the OneUI5 upgrade I used to be able to use it while workout routine was running. Someone else can try and see if they get same result
The Update brings many features specially Temprature monitor during sleep however we want it for full day. Samsung Pay for non Samsung device. Samsung is beast ❤ Using 5pro india.
Have u tried using gpx files for Google maps in ur watch 5 pro??? It is an awesome feature and only watch in the world to have that feature is ur watch 5 pro... Samsung discontinued this feature in watch 6 series

Do you have to leave NFC turned on too use Samsung wallet on the watch? I use Samsung wallet all the time on 24 ultra , and NFC is never turned on
Great features, however only few bank cards allow to use this feature in India...
Make a video about Gcam for S23 series, and comparison between photo quality as S23 series comes with snapdragon chips so it would be a great face off. Also i noticed that in the entire market only pixel 7 pro is able to switch lenses in UHD 60FPS video recording while s23 ultra or iphone 14 can't, kinda wierd...i hope gcam can remove this software limitations on s23 ultra

I am using Watch 4 with the latest update but not getting any option to verify the card via SMS. Also, it shows "invalid card/card number" for most of my visa/master cards.

4:12 Entering the pattern when paying is skipped over here. Samsung really makes a mess out of something which should be swift and go unnoticed. The user, you, already has to enter the swipe each time when putting the watch on the arm. In addition, when paying have to enter it. Then on several different occasions during a day the user has to enter their swipe code, again. If your swipe isn't recognized you have to reenter, again. It's happened several times when paying, and this means your "secret" code is totally exposed to onlookers. Really, really bad by Samsung. Just plain bad policy.
This is the sole reason I dont use SP on the watch, whose stupid idea was it to ask for Pin code or pattern every time you want to use the watch anyways. They should be fired. And it's been years and Samsung havent fix it.

Samsung pay has been updated to samsung wallet due to which samsung pay on watch is not linking on gw 4/5. I think either you have downgraded the app or just not showing us the true process

Watch 3 doesn't have Wear os so there is no security lock
On my last Tizen watch there was a mandatory pin lock for Samsung Pay. Once entered it lasts until the watch looses skin contact, which makes of course sense (theft)
Had problems with Samsung pay on S22 Ultra but tried to put on Watch 5...finally got card on but after that had to re verify card and it hung up...said to erase card on phone but would let me erase and grayed out card
may be future update would fix it, or check with your bank if there is any restrictions

@r.p4818 its not just a app that can work, samsung pay is something that works along with nfc hardware inside phone with some extra sensors required to perform payment actions, so if your phone don't have nfc then you wont be able to use tap to pay features or even entire samsung pay...or maybe you didn't installed wallet app from galaxy store

In that case reset the watch and try but before doing that check with your card provider whether their card can be added or not

But now getting ''Incorrect card details" even though details are correct :/

That can be done only on LTE model, Bluetooth variant needs the phone to be nearby and connected
I've been using Samsung pay for years on my gw4 bluetooth model I use it all the time without taking my phone with me I pay for shopping etc with my watch while phone is at home I'm in the UK so yes it works without phone

you can keep the toggle on always, it will be used when you activate phone pay

In my experience no need to switch on the toggle. Once you open samsung pay it will enable by default and once you will close it will be disabled. So you will save battery

U had to turn ON NFC from quick toggle or it automatically turned ON during the time of payment?
@@pavanmetal No need to turn it on.Just press and hold back key for 2 second it will open samsung pay and allow you to choose card. Once payment done NFC will automatically turned off. There is no need to explicitly enable NFC toggle for payment
Doesn't work on my GW4 bluetooth version just got updated yesterday to one ui 5 and got the Samsung pay feature but it's not getting enabled from the phone.

@@TheKing-19 Samsung pay is pre-installed on the watch after the latest update. You just need to follow on screen instructions and you will be good to go. I was using Samsung pay on my watch paired with Motorola edge 30 ultra. Now I have upgraded to Samsung S23 ultra.
