- Join me as I attend the Hampshire Brick event in Porchester near Portsmouth in the UK. I was there selling my Lego investment sets.
The event also had other Lego sellers there as well as a number of displayers and MOC builders.
Huge thanks to the organisers of the event and all of the wonderful people who came to the event on the day.
As always, another video that shows how versatile your channel is. Great info on LEGO sets, hauls, adventures after winning auctions, brick festivals with a touch of humor. Not the average investing channel, but more! Your enthusiasm is very contagious! Keep it up!
Thank you so much. I try to do a variety of different things on the channel so hopefully there is something for everyone.
@@iainsbricks I really think there is! Much appreciated by everyone I suppose! Have a great weekend!
I much prefer Iain's presentations to the American ones
@@langserv Thanks. Much appreciated
Well done. That's the best setup you've had yet.
Thanks. It was good that I could stack all my bigger sets up at the back.
Wow
Congratulations on your sales.
Thank you. It was hard work but definitely worth it.
Very interesting Iain. Looking forward to the round up video. Cheers Iain.
Thanks Wayne. It will be towards the end of this week.
Great video Ian Thankyou. All that hard work paid off!
Matt from Dorset
Thanks Matt. It was great to be so busy, but I spent most of yesterday recovering
Lovely to meet you today and buy some of your sets and baseplates, really pleased with what I got!
Hi Darren. Good to meet you too. Sorry that I did have time to chat longer. Thanks for buying the base plates.
Great event. Gutted I couldn’t come, you had some great sets. I’m surprised that friends coffee house set didn’t sell that was a great deal. Can’t wait for next months festival
Thanks - yes it was a very enjoyable event.
I had 2 people ask me if I had the friends apartment, which I didn't have one with me, so I think a lot of people already have that set.
It's OK though as I can just take it to the next event.
@@iainsbricks i don’t have that set and I love friends so I am keeping my eye out
I need that dark trooper helmet 🤣
Those Star Wars battle packs are a steal at £12
Yes, they are good value
I’m glad you had a great event and looks like you sold plenty. Having a secluded corner must have felt like having your own shop especially with the back room to store the boxes.
Thanks - yes, the event organisers gave me that specific spot as it was right by the entrance. The space worked perfectly and being able to store the boxes in the back was just an added bonus
Really like these kind of video’s, looks like a very nice event. I love what that person had done with the Friends Central perk set. Awesome that you had such a succesfull day with many sales. 😃
Thanks Peter. It was a very successful event for everyone. Unfortunately I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to look at all the different builds and mocs there.
Was a very good little event. Some great displays and very well stocked traders. A shame they had issues with the card reader at the queue in the morning. Some folk were getting a little frustrated waiting around.
Great to meet you too 👍🏻
Yes, it's a shame that there were a few issues with the card reader. Luckily mine worked fine all day so it didn't affect my sales.
Open Sesame 😂 what a lovely venue 🎉 Well done Iain
Thanks Jai. I had a really great day. I think everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves
Good video Iain, and a good show at the Hampshire Brick -Festival- Event 😉
Lol! It was early, and I get so used to saying 'Brick Festival' - oops!
It was nice to catch up with you yesterday, I’ll see you at the next one!
Hi - hope you had an enjoyable day. I'm knackered today, but it was all worth it.
Looks like you had a real good one. Loads of sales and managed to snag some prime real estate - much bigger and more spacious than your usual set up. Your prices were very reasonable indeed, maybe even a tad too low on some sets as think you easily could've gotten more. Thanks for sharing and a great insight as always
Thanks. The organisers gave me the biggest biggest selling table - also I wanted to have lots of sets at cheap prices so people there could grab themselves a bargain.
The sellers tables didn't cost me anything so I was able to pass on those savings to the buyers.
@@iainsbricks Ah I see. Well that was very generous of you
Open sesame ? I just raise my hand and use the force. Much to my kids annoyance. Great content again…… thanks for taking the time.
Lol! I decided not to use the force that time to open the door. Thanks for watching
Lol you had a great sale. Some of your prices too low eg space rocket babies gwp, star wars battlepacks £12. Great display and choice for customers.
Thanks. I wanted to keep some prices low as it was a smaller more localised event.
Gutted I couldn’t make it today especially as I would have loved to have got the ford speed champions set from you but looks like a you had a very successful day
Sorry you weren't able to make it. The Ford Speed Champions set didn't sell, so I will be taking it to the Southampton Brick Festival at the end of April.
Wow my friend, what a great looking stall … wish I could have made it down to see you!! Great local event, need one of these near me … let me know if I can attend one of these, although I understand if he only supports local sellers!!
Some nice displays as well, look forward to an update on sales video!!
Thanks Lee. Yes it was a very enjoyable event. Super busy but I think everyone there enjoyed what was on offer.
As its just a small event, there was really only me as the main Lego seller and Tyrone, whose event it is, with the other big table. The other sellers there all had mocs to display and were selling things I wasn't like individual minifigures.
@@iainsbricks Honestly loves the amount of space you had, wish we had that at Brick Festivals!! On that note, watching this video has encouraged me to look at local areas for these events, as I’m getting so bored with the booking system at those events … shocking!!
Anyway, enough about that … just glad it went well for you buddy and that you’ve now cleared some space for more hauls!! 😂 Really looking forward to the roundup video!!
@@leeshurmer7063 Thanks Lee. Tyrone has been doing these events in his local area for 10 years now. There are other events around the country that are not Brick Festival, but they can be difficult to get into on the first occasion.
Nice video good to meet you as always the queue to get ot waa like a Legoland ride long and winding.
Thanks. Appreciate the time spent queuing to get in.
@@iainsbrickshi great to meet you yesterday and when is your next one please local in Southampton?
@@Daniel-w9k6r I will be at the Southampton Brick Festival on 28th April
@@iainsbricks nice one
Youre only asking 22 gbp for majisto's workshop? Werent those supposed to be a lot more valuable?
Yes, that was the average sold ebay price for that set.
Personally I think it should be worth more but I guess it's only worth what someone will pay for it.
I believe that Iain and Brickheadz were headlining the Lego rock concert.
Lol! I did get a few people recognise me from TH-cam, which is great.
Looks like you had a lot of sales Iain. You did put on a good show. All sets displayed neat and clearly priced.
You know what happens now Iain ... you can buy more Lego 😂😂😂
Thanks Dean. I was really pleased how the table looked at the start of the event.
You know, it hadn't even crossed my mind that I can buy more Lego now 🤭
Great video Iain. Looked amazing and looks a though you had a really good day. What’s the next brick event?
Thanks Wayne. Yes it was very busy - sold lots of Lego, which is what it'll about.
Next event for me is the Southampton Brick Festival on 28th April
@@iainsbricks I’ll see if I can make it
Glad the event went well for you. I know you had multiple copies of certain sets and it seems they sold out. I couldn’t see exactly which sets they were. Would you mind sharing? Besides, the poly bags, what were the top selling themes today?
I'll do a round up video later in the week going through the sets I sold.
Luckily got there 30 minutes before, when I came out of it the queue went right up the side of the car park.
Yes, I'd heard the queue was really long. Thank you to everyone that waited.
Good video. I used to watch alot of bricksie but he got greedy by posting too often and all the same content. More interesting when you wait to do a video of an event like this.
Thanks. I try to do different types of videos when I can. Thank you for your comments and for your support
Aboutlesy awesome event
It was great
Do you sell the Asda store exclusive set or not if no then can you post it to me please Ian would be great to receive it @@iainsbricks
@@oliransome173 I think I still have it, however I only sell Lego at events like this. I Don't sell sets online.
But would you post it to me @@iainsbricks
@@oliransome173 I'm afraid not as I only sell at Lego festivals
The events videos are your best. We'll done.
Thanks Bob. Glad you enjoy them. Thanks for watching
Look like a good day what are you looking for the Mickey Mouse set
Thanks. It was a very enjoyable, but long day.
What price are you looking for your Mickey Mouse set
@@markjeffery6325 off the top of my head I can't remember what I had it on for. I will probe taking it to the Southampton Brick Festival though in April
I see you’re still trying to get that wind turbine off your hands or did you own multiple copies? 😉
No, it's the same Vestas wind turbine. It's turning out to be a very hard set to sell on.
They had a 'spin to win' wheel, but unfortunately the person running it did it wrong so the prizes ran out in the first 30 minutes.
Oh no! I missed all that as I was so busy on my table. Well at least people were able to win the prizes early on.
when you upgrading to a van mate!
Iain is more frugal than to spend extra money on a van
I got a bigger car last year so I could bring more Lego to these events. A van would be great but it's going to cost money to buy and to maintain.
I keep my costs down so I can keep the prices of my sets low.
@@iainsbricks buy an old transit only high costs is going to be insurance.
@@pmeim9314 there would still be maintenance as well. If I did ever feel as though I needed a van I would just hire one to start with
