  • This is my 5th visit to Batam ever since it re-opened from COVID. Brought my family to new and old places this time to enjoy good food and culture.

    Hi Lowesman, just been to Batam fr 3D2N. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Visited the places as per your video...ie Kelong Baba, Uncle Lim BakKutTeh, Batam Center Mall and the Tua Pek Kong temple. Rented car from Takata Car Rental...Suwanda is a very easy going and friendly guy. We bought lots of snacks to bring back to Australia. Overall, enjoyed it very much but found it very hot! Thanks once again.

    Hello,.
    Great video !
    Some questions:
    1) Where do you recommend to stay in Batam near convenience stores, street food markets and public transportation ?
    2) Are there nice beaches/islands near Batam ?
    Thank you so much.

      Hi Antonio, thanks for watching. The go-to hotel that I’ll always recommend is i-Hotel Baloi. It is a stone throw away from the major malls and nice food courts in Batam.
      If you’re looking for nice beaches, it’s rather far from central Batam, which is nearer to the Barelang bridge area or Nongsa. Some good and reasonably priced resorts would be KTM Beach Resort or Turi Beach Resort.

    Hi Lowsesman, interesting video and lots of info especially the local makan places. Thank you. I am planning to go there myself and may want to do a self drive. Can you tell me please, where did you pick up the car, how much per day did you pay for the car and finally...do you know if Waze GPS works in Batam? TQVM 😊

      Thank you sir for watching. For the car if you rent from Takata they will deliver to the ferry terminal for you and it’s around 400,000rp per day depending on the car model. Not sure about Waze but google maps work for sure :)

      Thanks for watching! That is Harbourbay ferry terminal at Batam. Relatively near to Nagoya Hill. About 15mins drive.

    Hi Lowsesman, just one more question if I may. For the car, hotel and restaurants, did you pay by credit card or cash? Safe to use credit card in Batam?

    • @Lowsesman
      @Lowsesman  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For hotel I book online. Everything else in cash, credit card not recommended in Batam

    idk, Singaporeans seems hopeless to me. "Hey we come from an Island that is basically a giant shopping mall. But let's goto this other island." What should we do? "Go to this giant shopping mall...."

    • @Lowsesman
      @Lowsesman  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No choice bro. Goods are way more pricier in Singapore and lower income families like us will just have to seek cheaper shopping at neighbouring countries. Thanks for watching anyways!
